1. What will be your contribution to campaign Social Change

using your ICT knowledge?
ICT (and technology in general) now plays a huge part in putting movements in motion, more
specifically those that push for social change. Social change requires everyone to play a part
in order to bring in the desired outcome of the movement and ICT plays a huge role in
connecting everyone.

As someone who utilizes most of her ICT knowledge in social media, I would bring my
contribution in participating in social media movements to voice out our support and call out
for change. For example, in helping members of the LGBTQ+ sector let their voices be heard
and their rights be supported universally, we can participate in social media movements like
#PRIDE for Pride Month held every June to celebrate all members of the LGBTQ+ sector.
Simple actions of support like these can make a huge difference in our world, all leading to
the social change we need and desire to have.

2. What will be your innovation for Social Change?

Social change in this day and age would require the help of ICT, especially with the onset of
the pandemic. If I were to bring an innovation to the table for social change, I would
encourage people in social media to partake in educating voters especially that the 2022
Elections is nearing. Sort of like an “Eleksyon Edukasyon” movement-- to call it. In this
movement, we’ll create social media infographics and posts that help in educating our future
voters, providing them with vital information about the elections, positions, and candidates.
This is to provide transparency and knowledge as to how the election works, especially for
those part of our generation that are first time voters. Aside from social media engagements,
we can also utilize ICT to create digital platforms where people can share their knowledge,
sort of like a “forum”, where everyone can have a shared learning experience.
