Q1. The average price of ITC stock was 1500 Rs for the quarter I of 2019. Considering this
price as the population mean, and assume that the population standard deviation is 250 Rs find
a) For a random sample of 40 days, find the standard deviation of the sampling distribution of
the sample mean.
b) What is the probability that the sample mean price is above 1600 of the population mean?
c) What is the probability that the sample mean price is below 1400 of the population mean?

Q2. The average sales of Big bazar for the year was 1200 Lakh for the pune centre, with
standard deviation of 300 Lakh for the financial year 2019. What is the probability that the sale
of pune centre will be more than 1350 Lakh for the next financial year if everything remains
same and the sales are considered to be distributed normally?

Q3. The average defective product found in the first shift of Ranbaxy every day is 2.5, what will
be the probability of getting more than 3 defects next day.

Q4. Vijay sales Ltd has organized a camp for the sales of its product and offered huge discounts
on its product every year during Diwali. He found that the number of people turned to the camp
is nearly 1000 and the probability of the person who visit the camp to purchase the product is
nearly 0.005. what is the probability of exactly 3 customers purchasing the product in the camp?

Q5. Ranbaxy conducted an experiment to find the prevalence of high blood pressure among IT
professional of age group 35 to 45 years. They conducted an experiment and found that among
the 25 people administered, 10 are found to have high blood pressure and rest no high blood
pressure. Which distribution this experiment is supposed to follow and why. Also find the
probability of diagnosing exactly 15 people to have high blood pressure.
