Hoan:: I See What You're Saying, But I Don't Find It Convincing Enough
Hoan:: I See What You're Saying, But I Don't Find It Convincing Enough
Huệ : I agree with topic. In my oppinion, you do not learn many practical skills at
school . Maybe each of us has heard the saying that ‘’ Travel broadens the mind ‘’
translate to Vietnamese is '' Đi một ngày đàng học một sàng khôn ''.
We can simply understand that go for a day on the road, you will learn a lot of
useful things, the more you go, the more you learn, just go out into the society to
learn that will gain new knowledge. That is the result of the learning process. You
should go to many places to accumulate more knowledge. You should not only
seek knowledge from books but must know how to verify it by experience.
Hoan : I see what you’re saying, but I don’t find it convincing enough. Now a day,
many schools and universities combine theoretical and practical learning -there are
a lot of interships and experiences for students to have enough praticial knowledge
when going to work -additon students have opportunity to come and work directly
even when we go to school .
For example : we can go to livestock farms when we learn about animals , work as
saleman in companies when we learn sale skill .So : school can completely bring us
skill we need .
Hùng : On the other hand , Real life is completely different from school .
Real-life lessons are important. For example, you will not understand how to treat
your girlfriend/boyfriend at school, or how to spend money more effectively. The
skills you get in life do not go through any school such as degree..
You learn these lessons in different conditions and situations in your life through
blunders.
Huy : That’s a valid point, but I want to correct a few mistakes here. In some fields,
it also requires specialized knowledge that can be learned in books and must be
certified to meet standards such as teachers, doctors, lawyers, etc… they need to be
trained through classes, have the hard skill to be able to work. You don’t apply the
skills of life to care for other people.
Huệ : Agree with you but there isn’t also deny the importance of skills you learn in
life .The skills you learn at school are not enough. For example, as a doctor, you
can only practice in the laboratory. It was not until the last years that one could
practice on the human body, but it was not difficult. Life skills such as staying calm
in the operating room, understanding the value of every second to save lives.
Huy: I take your point but that isn’t the way I see it; instead, I think that If we
talk about self-control and independence in school, it is definitely directed to
students right from Kindergarten to college. It is easy to see that the older we get,
the more class assignments we have. Therefore, self-control of time, arranging talks
in class, and personal work are some of the determinants of a successful person.
For example, in high school, international school,... students from other areas flock
to study. We can easily see the independence of studying, eating, sleeping... and
financial autonomy because many of them want to go to do a part-time job to pay
for school, meals...if their families do not have economic conditions.
KẾT :
We have just heard many individual views of the teams presented. Each team has
its right. However, a problem you cannot look at one side, look at it holistically,
notice the good and bad points of the problem. And that is the opinion of group 4.
And you, what do you think about this topic? Do you agree or not?
The answer depends on your perspective.
Thank you everyone for today. Hope to see you again shortly.Good bye !
