HEALTHY FOOD PYRAMID

Healthy food are fundamentals for our existence. They help us grow, be strong and be healthy. To eat
healthily we need to learn about the food pyramid and follow its steps.
The first step on the pyramid, the smallest one is the one about sweets and delicious It is the favorite one by
all children, but to be honest is it the worst one. One must eat little or water from this step. Pastries and
sweets are fats, but they contain a high number of calories which are bad for our body In fact, many experts
agree that this sector is bad for our health.
The second step is formed by meat, fish, and eggs. It is especially important to vary this food every single day.
You shouldn’t just eat meat because you don´t like fish. In fact, we should eat more fish and eggs than meat.
The third step is all about dairy. This group includes milk, cheese, butter, and yoghurt. We must eat this food
from one to three time a day.
The fourth step is extremely important because it evolves around vegetables and fruits. These foods fill in
our bodies with vitamins and and allow us stay in shape and be strong. Doctors recommend to these five
times a day, if you do your body will thank you.

The base of the pyramid, the fifth step, is the group of carbohydrates here you can find cereals, bread, pasta, rice, and

Read the following text.


Doctors tell us to eat more fruit and more vegetables. They tell us to drink more water and less fizzy
drinks. But do we listen? No, we continue eating junk food like pizzas, sweets, chips, cakes, and biscuits.
We are what we eat. If we keep putting bad things into our bodies every day, like lot of fats and sugar,
we will see bad things happen to our body. Unhealthy food makes your body sickly, when you get older
you start to have a lot of problems like heart diseases but most of us do not think about the future. We
only think about today. We think that hamburgers taste better than salad. We think that the juice from
the supermarket is more delicious that juice we make at home. Burgers, French fries, and fizzy drinks
may be delicious, but they have not got enough vitamins and minerals. Your body needs vitamins and
minerals to grow healthy.
People eat junk food because it is tasty, but everybody can also have a tasty meal made at home. The
only problem is that buying fresh products and cooking them takes time. So, people prefer spending
time doing other activities, such as, watching films, meeting friends, walking to the park, etc. It is
important to do these activities, but I is also important to be very careful of our body, if you want to be
healthy, you should eat healthy food every day.
