1. Module Theme : Speaking / English Debate

Subject : English II
Subject Code : Kep 1.08
Semester : II
Credit : 1 credit
Time : 170 minutes

3. Aim of practicum
At the end of this practicum, the students are expected to be able to:
 Student are able to communicate in english
 Student are able to present their opinion
 Student are able to understand the vocabulary
 Students are able to implement of English skills including Grammar, Vocabularly,
Reading, Writing, and Speaking in accordance with Nursing Care

4. Overview of Practicum
This Subject provides opportunities for students to improve their English skills to
help their academic activities. English skills include reading, writing, listening and
speaking developed in harmony with classroom activities both offline class and online
class.
English as an International language must be understood and used in everyday life,
both in formal and informal situations. The ability that is practical (practice) language is
more in demand today, so it is expected that by practicing the skill, you are able to have a
good English practice.
Students practice includes speking, they try to use the new vocabulary to make a
opinion sentences with true tenses. Then, they present their opinion to audiences and the
audiences will give a evaluation.

b. Students who have participated in lectures in theory according to predetermined
meeting schedule (in accordance with study learning plans)

a. Students are able to communicate and show their opinion about Nursing Care in
English
b. Students are able to search a paragraph about nursing care relate with the topic of
debate
c. Students are able to present their opinion in debate practice
d. Students are able to answer a question relate the topic of debate
e. Students are able to do english debate

7. Indicators of Achievement
a. Students have to make opinion relate with topic debate
b. Students have to present their opinion in debate
c. Students have to demostrate their ability to remember the realated voacabulalry

b. References of English II including books, articles, written assignments and audio
visual materials.

11. Procedures
Sequence of practice as follows:

a. Students have to attend the lecture offline and online class


b. Students have to read the materials and reference
c. Students have to make a group work and group discussion
d. Students have to present their work both individual and group work
e. SOP :
a. Preparation
 Students have to prepare materials
 Students have to read material
 Students have to write the task / assignment about opinion relate with
topic of debate
 Students have to collect the task before presenting
 Students have to present the task /assignment relate the text

b. Practice
 Standing in front of the class in group / individually
 Opening / saying a greeting to participants
 Introducing their self and their member group
 Presenting their materials in debate : their opinion relate topic of
debate
 Giving feedback to the audiences

c. Termination
 The students have to summarize their presentations
 The students have to close their presentations
