Project Name:
“My own musical instrument.”

Project description: Making instruments at home or school not only helps nature because of recycled

materials but also promotes creativeness and self-expression as well as rhythm and coordination. Being

familiar with musical instruments and music from an early age develops and improves listening skills. Music

may also increase emotional intelligence and memory. If done at home, it promotes nice memories and

reinforce bonds.

Weekly objective: making students aware of their health care is a priority for returning to the classroom

Final Product:Make a season diorama using things in a nature

Weekly objective: prepare all the activities developed in English Class

Activities for week 2

Instructions:

Form groups of three students and choose some instruments to create a band.

You are going to present the instruments to the class and describe how you made them.

• Maracas We can make maracas by using plastic bottles 1/3 filled with dry beans or rice.

You can also use paper, glitter or different materials to decorate them.

• Guitar Get an empty tissue box and a toilet roll. Glue the roll to the short side of the box. Then, using a stapler,

attach some rubber bands.

You can also use a cereal box and a paper towel roll. Pain it or decorate it using your creativity!

• Drums Get some plastic or metal containers. Be careful, they may have some sharp edges. Decorate them and use

a wooden spoon to play them.
