Activity Title: Tanaga and Textula


Learning Target: To show mastery of the elements of a textula by identifying the
poems that may be considered as such.

Concept Notes: Textula is another literary form that is rooted from our very own
Tanaga. It follows a specific structure of four (4) lines with seven (7) syllables each line.

Instructions: Given the elements that make up a Tanaga, look at the following poems
and see if they may qualify for a Tanaga. Check the box for each poem that qualifies.

Ako’y pang-labing-isa Ako ay may pangarap


‘di pa pinakabata Sisikaping matupad
Si mama ay buntis pa Kahit kami’y mahirap
O D’yos ko, paano na? ‘Di magiging tamad

Ngunit ako’y sumaya

rhyme scheme of each example and answering the given guide questions.

Concept Notes: Textula is another literary form that is rooted from our very own

Despite its conciseness, this literary form may still be used to communicate messages.
