Uses Sika Ferrogard®-901 is especially suitable for reinforced concrete subjected to

danger of corrosion. It specifically protects from chloride induced corrosion.

Characteristics / By using Sika Ferrogard®-901, the anodic and cathodic reaction of the

protective film on the steel surface which delays the onset of corrosion and reduces
the rate of corrosion.

Application Details

Consumption / Dosage Recommended dosage: 2-4% by weight of cement depending on exposure

conditions. For the exact dosage to be used please consult our Technical Services
Department.

Application Conditions

Compatibility Sika Ferrogard®-901 may be combined with the following Sika products:
Construction

Sika 1, Viscocrete admixtures, Sikament Superplasticicers, Sika-Aer, Sikacrete and

SikaFume admixtures. Pre-trials are always recommended.

Sika Ferrogard -901 is compatible with sulfate resistant cement.

Application Instructions

Dispensing Sika Ferrogard®-901 is mixed with the gauging water or added at the same time into
the concrete mixer. It may also be added to the concrete in the transit mixer at the
point of discharge. In this case, an additional mixing time of at least 1 minute per m³
concrete must be observed. Before discharging it, check concrete visually for
uniform consistency.

Sika Ferrogard -901 is not to be mixed with the dry cement.
