Last Monday, Amin woke up feeling very excited because it was his birthday. He had a quick
bath and came downstairs for breakfast. Everyone was quiet at the dining table. No one
wished him “Happy Birthday”. Amin felt very disappointed
and sad.

Quietly, he had his breakfast and went lo school.

None of his classmates wished him, not even his best
friend, Husin. The whole day Amin was very upset.

Amin had extra class after school. He was exhausted. The bus was late to pick him
up. When he entered the house, his parents and classmates shouted, “Surprise! Happy
Birthday!” Amin was speechless.

His parents and friends had organised a surprise

party for him. He received a lot of presents. It was the
best birthday party ever for him.
