Introduction
Every person has a personal leadership brand which conveys our identity and values
about which we may not be aware of. This leadership brand differentiates us from
others and helps us to communicate in a better way about our strengths, values and
beliefs. Leadership brand inspires faith and makes employees of the organization
believe in the values and culture of the organization. In this assignment, I will
develop my personal leadership brand and will discuss how this will help in leading
the organization through development of a Leadership Brand Statement. The
competencies and the leadership elements that make a leadership brand will be
discussed in a comprehensive manner. ("How To Create Your Leadership Brand",

Personal Antecedents
Personal Antecedents are the values which are inherited in a person from their
ancestors. My personal antecedents as a leader are supporting others, helping

Leadership Style
My leadership brand is related to “Great Man Theory” as this theory suggests that
leaders are born not made or leading ability is inherent. I believe that qualities like
supporting others, helping others, solving problems effectively, time punctuality,
respect, commitment, passion, enthusiasm are inherent in me since birth and This
Great Man Theory perfectly applies to my leadership brand.
My expectations and goals for the future are that I want to lead by example so that
my followers follow me due to trust and respect. I do not want to be an autocratic

leader who knows how to make others work with pressure but I aspire that mutual
cooperation and involvement of followers is must to have inclusive leadership from
both sides. I expect that I always have that ability to motivate others in a
collaborative manner. I expect my followers to follow integrity and basic values of
organization like honesty, trust, respect and confidence. These values will help me
collectively to achieve the best outcome in the future as a leader.
Concerns
The concerns for my leadership brand are lack of effective communication and
failure in making a difference in the life of others as my leadership brand is totally
dependent on the value delivered to the followers. If at any point of time, followers
are not able to know their true potential and improve themselves, I will feel aggrieved
and this is a concern that I am worried about. The other concerns are issues of trust,
dishonesty and disrespecting others in a team because these values are extremely
important in my leadership qualities.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I will state that my leadership brand is people oriented and I will work
towards the betterment of people as a leader. My leadership qualities and
expectations also revolve around maintaining values in the organization. I believe
that this type of leadership will sustain for the long term in the future because this is
based on the mutual cooperation and understanding values of the organization.
Making a difference in the life of others is the foundation of my leadership brand that
will be maintained throughout my life.
