INTRODUCTION-BACKGROUND

T-Mobiles’ existing appurtenances from the prior project (Anchor-phase 3) are installed
on a small low-profile platform mount. T-Mobile’s current project will add a small
microwave/radio to one side of the platform.

As per Ref [5] mapping, T-Mobile’s antenna radiation height & the tower height are at
140’ & 190’ AGL respectively. The platform’s triangular shaped deck consisting of (6) L4
beams and grating is supported on (3) 3.5” OD pipes at the perimeter and (3) 4” square
tube (HSS) arms attached to the tower via a universal ring mount. Three 2-7/8” OD
pipe horizontal rails 4’ above deck with (9) 2-3/8” OD vertical pipes form the 3 sides of
the mount. Refer to Appendix I for photos / sketches and Appendix II for mount analysis.

RESULTS

The results of the existing mount analysis subjected to the project appurtenance loads indicate
adequacy of the mount with a maximum capacity usage factor (rating) of 100% in a non-primary
member. A summary of analysis results for mount members is shown below.

CONCLUSIONS

T-Mobile’s proposed project will add a 2’ diameter Microwave dish on the existing platform
mount in sector Beta side. The present analysis results indicates adequacy of the platform
mount without a need for modifications.

Standard Conditions and Considerations

This analysis is based on the theoretical capacity of the members and is not a condition
assessment of the tower. The analysis is solely based on the information supplied. We
consider supplied information to us as reasonably accurate. Mountain LTD
Engineering, LLC has made no independent determination of data accuracy. The
followings are considered applicable to this structural analysis unless otherwise involved
parties of the project inform us to the contrary:

No allowance is made for damaged, missing, or rusted members. The existing

tower is considered to have been properly maintained in accordance with the TIA /
EIA Standard and/or its original manufacturer’s recommendations. The existing
tower is considered to be in good condition with no structural defects and
deterioration affecting member capacities. The material grade is as per data stated
in the materials section taken from project documents. The structural analysis by
Mountain, LTD Engineering, LLC verifies the adequacy of the main structural
members of the tower. Mountain LTD Engineering, LLC is provided with a limited
scope of service in that we cannot verify the adequacy of every structural sub-
component, mounting frame, bolt, weld, plate connection, etc. All bolts, welds, and
connections are assumed to develop at least the member capacity, unless
determined otherwise and explicitly stated in this report.

All prior structural modifications, if any, are considered to have been property
completed per the applicable construction documents and to be fully effective. This
tower has been analyzed according to the original design criteria or the minimum
design wind loads recommended by the Telecommunications Industry Association
Standard EIA/TIA-222-G. If the owner or local or state agencies require a higher
design wind load, Mountain, LTD Engineering, LLC should be made aware of this
requirement. The antenna configuration is as supplied and/or stated in the analysis
section and considered to be complete & accurate. All antennas, mounts, coaxial
cables, and waveguides are considered to be properly installed and supported as
per the manufacturer’s requirements.

Antenna and mount sizes and their projected areas used in the analysis are based
on the best interpretation of the supplied data, knowledge of antenna type, and
industry practice. Miscellaneous items such as minor Uni-struts, mounts, & supports
have not been structurally analyzed, designed, or detailed as a part of our work. We
recommend contractor to purchase and provide material of adequate size and
strength from a reputable tower manufacturer. The existing foundation is considered
to be in good condition with no structural defects affecting member capacities.

Value provided is 3-second gust wind speeds at 33 ft above ground for Exposure C Category, based on linear
interpolation between contours. Wind speeds are interpolated in accordance with the 7-22 Standard. Wind speeds
correspond to approximately a 3% probability of exceedance in 50 years (annual exceedance probability =
0.000588, MRI = 1,700 years). Values for 10-year MRI, 25-year MRI, 50-year MRI and 100-year MRI are Service
Level wind speeds, all other wind speeds are Ultimate wind speeds.

Site is not in a hurricane-prone region as defined in ASCE/SEI 7-22 Section 26.2.

Ice thicknesses on structures in exposed locations at elevations higher than the surrounding terrain and in valleys
and gorges may exceed the mapped values.
Values provided are equivalent radial ice thicknesses due to freezing rain for 250, 500, 1,000, and 1,400-year
mean recurrence intervals along with concurrent 3-s gust speeds and concurrent air temperatures. The shading
indicates special icing regions, with elevations above 2,100 ft (640 m) in the east, 6,000 ft (1829 m) in the west,
and 1,600 ft (488 m) in Alaska, with sparse weather station data for determining design ice loads. In these regions,
as well as in regions with complex terrain causing unusual icing conditions and regions where snow or in-cloud
icing results in larger loads, the mapped values should be adjusted based on a combination of local historical
records and experience, reanalysis data, and numerical weather prediction systems.
