LUMUKUHU
DU’AS FOR SEEKING KNOWLEDGE

ْ ‫ي َّو َّي ِّس ْر ِّلْي ا َّ ْم ِّر‬

‫ي‬ ْ ‫َّر ِّب ا ْش َّرحْ ِّلْ َّص ْد ِّر‬
ۖ ْ‫اِنْ َّي ْف َّق ُه ْوا ق َّْو ِّل‬ ‫س‬
ِّ َّ ِّ ‫ل‬ ‫ن‬
ْ ‫م‬ِّ ً ‫ة‬‫د‬َّ ‫ق‬
ْ ‫ع‬
ُ ‫ل‬ْ ُ ‫ل‬‫ح‬ْ ‫ا‬ ‫و‬
َّ
“Oh my Rabb! Open my heart to your light and make
my task easy for me. Open the knot of my tongue so
that they may fully understand whatever I say.”
SURAH TAHA: 25-28

‫َّر ِّب ِّز ْد ِِّنْ عِّل ْ ًما‬

“Oh my Rabb! Increase me in knowledge.”
SURAH TAHA: 114

LUMUKUHU
 DU’A OF ADAM A.S.

‫َّربَّ َّنا َّظل َّْم َّنٓا ا َّ ْن ُف َّس َّنا َّواِّ ْن ل َّ ْم‬

SEEKING FORGIVENESS

‫ك ْو َّن َّن‬
ُ ‫َّت ْغ ِّف ْر لَّ َّنا َّو َّت ْر َّح ْم َّنا لَّ َّن‬
‫ِّم َّن الْ ٰخ ِّس ِّر ْي َّن‬
LUMUKUHU

“Our Lord, we have wronged

ourselves, and if You do not forgive
us and have mercy upon us, we will
surely be among the losers.”

SURAH A’RAF: VERSE 23

DU’A OF NUH A.S. : DURING DIFFICULT TIMES

‫ا َّ ِِّنْ َّم ْغل ُ ْوب فَّا ْن َّت ِّص ْر‬

Indeed, I am overpowered, so help.
SURAH QAMAR : VERSE 10

LUMUKUHU
DU’A OF NUH A.S. : SAFE TRAVEL / SAFETY

َّٰ ‫ْن ًًل ُم‬

‫ٰبكًا‬ ِّْ ْ‫َّر ِّب ا َّ ْن ِّزل‬
َّ ْ ‫ِن ُم‬
LUMUKUHU ِّ ْ ‫ْي ال ُْم‬
َّ ْ ِّ‫ْنل‬
‫ي‬ َّ ‫َّوا َّ ْن‬
ُْ ‫ت َّخ‬
SURAH MU'MINOON : VERSE 29

Oh Lord, cause me to land at a blessed landing place,

and You are the best of those who cause to land.
 DU’A OF NUH A.S. : SEEKING REFUGE
ۗ ْ ‫ك ا َّ ْن ا َّ ْسـَّل ََّّك َّما ل َّْي َّس ِّلْ ِّب ٖه عِّل‬
‫م‬ َّ ‫َّر ِّب اِّ ِِّنْي ا َّ ُع ْو ُذ ِّب‬
‫َّواِّ ًَّل َّت ْغ ِّف ْر ِّلْ َّو َّت ْر َّح ْم ِّ ْي‬
‫ِن ا َّ ُك ْن ِّم َّن الْ ٰخ ِّس ِّر ْي َّن‬
LUMUKUHU

My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge.
And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the
losers.
SURAH HUD : VERSE 47
 DU’A OF NUH A.S. : SEEKING FORGIVENESS

‫ي‬
َّْ ‫ِت ُم ْؤ ِّم ًنا َّو لِّل ْ ُم ْؤ ِّم ِّن‬ َِّّ ‫َّل َّب ْي‬ َّ ‫ي َّو لِّ َّم ْن َّدخ‬ َّ ‫َّر ِّب ا ْغ ِّف ْر ِّلْ َّو لِّ َّوالِّ َّد‬
‫ارا‬ ‫ب‬َّ ‫ت‬
َّ ‫ًل‬َّ ِّ ‫ا‬ ‫ي‬
َّ ْ ‫م‬
ِّ ِّ ‫ل‬‫الظ‬ٰ ‫د‬
ِّ ‫ز‬
ِّ ‫ت‬
َّ ‫ًل‬ َّ ‫و‬ ‫ت‬ِّ ‫ن‬
ٰ ‫م‬
ِّ ‫ؤ‬
ْ ‫ْم‬
ُ ‫ل‬ ‫ا‬‫و‬
ً َّ َّ
My Lord, forgive me and
my parents and whoever
enters my house as a
believer and the believing
men and believing women.
And do not increase the
wrongdoers except in
LUMUKUHU destruction.

SURAH NUH : VERSE 28

 DU’A OF ASIYA A.S. (WIFE OF FIRAUN) :
SEEKING A HOUSE IN JANNAH

LUMUKUHU

‫َّر ِّب ا ْب ِّن ِّلْ ِّع ْن َّد َّك َّب ْي ًتا ِِّف الْ َّج َّن ِّة‬
My Lord, build for me near You a house in paradise.
SURAH TAHREEM : VERSE 11
 DU’A FOR PARENTS

ِّْ ‫ار َّح ْم ُه َّما ك ََّّما َّربَّ ٰي‬

‫ِن‬ ‫ب‬
ْ َّ
ِّ ‫ر‬
‫ْيا‬
ًْ ‫َّص ِّغ‬
LUMUKUHU

“My Lord, have mercy upon

them as they brought me up
[when I was] small.”
SURAH ISRA : VERSE 24
DU’A FOR LIGHT ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT

ۚ‫َّربَّ َّنٓا ا َّ ْت ِّم ْم لَّ َّنا ُن ْو َّر َّنا َّوا ْغ ِّف ْر لَّ َّنا‬
‫ك َّع ٰٰل ك ُ ِّل َّش ْي ٍء قَّ ِّد ْير‬ َّ
َّ ‫اِّ ن‬
Our Lord, complete our light for us and forgive us.
Surely, You are in complete control over all things.
SURAH TAHREEM : VERSE 8

LUMUKUHU
 DU’A OF YUNUS A.S – DURING DISTRESS

‫ي‬ ‫م‬
َّ ْ ِّ ِّ ‫ل‬ ٰ
‫الظ‬ ‫ن‬ ‫م‬
ِّ ‫ت‬ ‫ن‬‫ك‬ُ ‫ِن‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ك‬ ‫ن‬ ‫ح‬ ‫ب‬ ‫س‬ ‫ت‬ ‫ن‬ َّ ‫ا‬ َّ
‫ّل‬ ‫ا‬
َّ ُ ْ ْ ِّ ِّ َّ َّ ٰ ْ ُ َّ ْ ِّ َّ ٰ ِّ ‫ه‬ ‫ل‬ ‫ا‬ َّ
‫ّل‬
“There is none worthy of worship except You;
how perfect You are. Surely, I am from the wrongdoers.”
SURAH AL ANBIYA : VERSE 87

LUMUKUHU

“Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate

after You have guided us and grant
us from Yourself mercy. Indeed you
are the Bestower.”
SURAH AL IMRAN: VERSE 8
Du’a FOR GOODNESS IN BOTH WORLDS

ُ ‫َّربَّ َّنٓا ٰا تِّ َّنا ِِّف‬

‫الد ْن َّيا َّح َّس َّن ًة َّو ِِّف ْاًلٰ ِّخ َّر ِّة‬
‫ار‬
ِّ َّ
‫الن‬ ‫اب‬
َّ َّ
‫ذ‬ َّ ‫ع‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ن‬
َّ ‫ق‬
ِّ ‫و‬
َّ ً
‫ة‬ ‫َّح َّس َّن‬
“Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good
and in the hereafter [that which is] good and
protect us from the punishment of the fire.”
SURAH AL BAQARAH : VERSE 201

LUMUKUHU
DU’A OF IBRAHIM A.S – DURING DIFFICULT TIMES

‫الل َّونِّ ْع َّم ال َّْو ِّك ْي ُل‬

LUMUKUHU

ُ ٰ ‫َّح ْس ُب َّنا‬

“Allah is Sufficient for us! How Excellent is

He in taking care of our affairs!”
SURAH AL IMRAN : VERSE 173
 DU’A OF IBRAHIM A.S – AN ALL ECOMPASSING DU’A

ِّْ ‫ب ِّلْ ُحك ًْما َّوا َّلْ ِّح ْق‬

‫ِن‬ ْ ‫َّر ِّب َّه‬
‫ان ِّص ْد ٍق‬ َّ ‫ي َّوا ْج َّع ْل ِّلْ لِّ َّس‬ َّ ْ ‫لصلِّ ِّح‬
ٰ ‫ِّبا‬
‫ِن ِّم ْن َّو َّر َّث ِّة‬ ِّْ ْ ‫ِِّف ْاًلٰ ِّخ ِّر ْي َّن َّوا ْج َّعل‬
َّ ‫َّج َّن ِّة‬
ۖ ‫الن ِّع ْي ِّم‬
“Oh My Lord! Give me wisdom and
join me with the righteous. And grant
me an honorable mention in the later
generations. And make me one of the
inheritors of the Garden of Bliss.”
SURAH ASH- SHU’ARAA : VERSES 83-85 LUMUKUHU
 DU’A OF IBRAHIM A.S – SEEKING FORGIVENESS

‫ي‬ َّ ‫َّربَّ َّنا ا ْغ ِّف ْر ِّلْ َّو لِّ َّوالِّ َّد‬

َّ ْ ‫ي َّو لِّل ْ ُم ْؤ ِّم ِّن‬
‫اب‬
ُ ‫َّي ْو َّم َّي ُق ْو ُم الْ ِّح َّس‬
“Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and believers
on the day when the account is established.”
SURAH IBRAHIM : VERSE 41

LUMUKUHU
DU’A OF IBRAHIM A.S – REGARDING PRAYER

ِّْ َّ‫الصلٰو ِّة َّو ِّم ْن ُذ ِّري‬

‫ِت‬ َّ ‫ِن ُم ِّق ْي َّم‬ ْ ِّ ْ ‫َّر ِّب ا ْج َّعل‬
‫َّربَّ َّنا َّو َّت َّق َّب ْل ُدعَّا ۤ ِّء‬

“Oh My Lord! Make me one who

performs prayer and (also) from
my descendants. Oh Our Lord!
Accept my supplication.”
SURAH IBRAHIM : VERSE 40

LUMUKUHU
 DU’A OF IBRAHIM A.S : acceptance of
worship

‫لس ِّم ْي ُع ال َّْعلِّ ْي ُم‬ َّ

َّ ‫َّربَّ َّنا َّت َّق َّب ْل ِّم َّنا اِّ ن‬
َّ ‫ك ا َّ ْن َّت ا‬

“Our Lord, accept [this] from us.

Indeed You alone are the All
Hearing, the All Knowing.”
SURAH AL BAQARAH : VERSE 127

LUMUKUHU
D U ’ A O F Y U S U F A . S : A N A L L E N C O M PA S S I N G D U ’ A
ُ ‫الس ٰم ٰو ِّت َّو ْاًل َّْر ِّض ا َّ ْن َّت َّو ِّ ٖل ِِّف‬
‫الد ْن َّيا‬ َّ ‫فَّا ِّط َّر‬
‫ي‬ ‫ح‬
َّْ ِّ ِّ‫لصل‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ب‬
ٰ ِّ ْ ِّ ‫ِن‬ ‫ق‬
ْ ‫ح‬ِّ ْ ‫ل‬ َّ ‫ا‬‫و‬ ‫ا‬ ‫م‬ ‫ل‬‫س‬ ‫م‬ ‫ِن‬ َّ
َّ ً ِّ ْ ُ ْ ِّ ‫َّو ْاًلٰ ِّخ َّر ِّةۚ َّت َّوف‬

LUMUKUHU

“Creator of the heavens and earth, You are my protector

in this world and in the Hereafter. Cause me to die a
Muslim and join me with the righteous.”
SURAH YUSUF : VERSE 101
 DU’Ā OF YAQOOB A.S : DURING SADNESS

LUMUKUHU

ِّ ٰ ‫اِّ نَّ َّمٓا ا َّ ْشك ُْوا َّب ِّث ْي َّو ُح ْز ِِّنْي اِّ َّل‬
‫الل‬
“I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah.”
SURAH YUSUF : VERSE 86
DU’A OF AYUB A.S : DUA WHEN AFFLICTED WITH ILLNESS

‫ي‬ ‫م‬
َّْ ِّ ‫ح‬
ِّ ‫ر‬
ٰ ‫ل‬ ‫ا‬ ‫م‬ ‫ح‬

ُ ْ ‫ر‬َّ ‫ا‬ ‫ت‬
َّ ‫ن‬
ْ َّ ‫ا‬ ‫و‬

‫لض‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ِن‬

‫ِن‬
“Verily, harm has touched me, and you are The
Most Merciful of all those who show mercy."

LUMUKUHU

SURAH AL- ANBIYAA : VERSE 83

DU’A OF PEOPLE OF THE CAVE : FOR MERCY AND
GUIDANCE

‫ك َّر ْح َّم ًة‬ ‫ن‬

ْ ‫د‬َّ ‫ل‬ ‫ن‬ ‫م‬
َّ ُ ْ ِّ ‫َّربَّ َّنٓا ٰا تِّ َّنا‬
‫َّو َّه ِّي ْئ لَّ َّنا ِّم ْن ا َّ ْم ِّر َّنا َّر َّش ًدا‬
"Our Lord, grant us from Yourself
mercy and prepare for us from our
affair right guidance."
SURAH AL KAHF : VERSE 10
 DU’Ā OF MUSA A.S : SEEKING KHAIR

‫خ‬
َّ ‫ن‬ ‫م‬
ٍ ْ ْ ِّ َّ‫َّر ِّب اِّ ِِّنْ لِّ َّمٓا ا َّ ْن َّزل َّْت اِّ َّل‬
‫ْي فَّ ِّق ْْي‬

"My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good

You would send down to me, in need."
SURAH QASAS : VERSE 24
LUMUKUHU
DUA OF SULEIMAN A.S :PRAISING ALLAH FOR THE FAVOURS

‫ت عَّل َّ َّي‬ ‫م‬ ‫ع‬ ‫ن‬

ْ َّ ‫ا‬ ‫ِت‬
‫ي‬ َّ
َّ ْ َّ ْ ِّ ‫ك ال‬ ‫َّر ِّب ا َّ ْو ِّز ْع ِّ ْي‬
َّ ‫ِن ا َّ ْن ا َّ ْش ُك َّر نِّ ْع َّم َّت‬
َّ ‫َّو َّع ٰٰل َّوالِّ َّد‬
‫ي َّوا َّ ْن ا َّ ْع َّم َّل َّصا لِّ ًحا َّت ْر ٰضى ُه‬
‫ي‬
َّ ْ ‫لصلِّ ِّح‬
ٰ ‫ك ِّفْ ِّع َّبا ِّد َّك ا‬ ْ ِّ ْ ‫َّوا َّ ْد ِّخل‬
َّ ‫ِن ِّب َّر ْح َّم ِّت‬

LUMUKUHU

“My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed
upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve.
And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants.”
SURAH NAML : VERSE 19
DU’A FOR A BLISSFUL FAMILY

َّ‫ب لَّ َّنا ِّم ْن ا َّ ْز َّوا ِّج َّنا َّو ُذ ِّر ٰي ِّت َّنا قُ َّرة‬
ْ ‫ه‬
َّ ‫ا‬ ‫ن‬
َّ َّ ‫ب‬‫ر‬َّ
َّْ ‫اج َّعل ْ َّنا لِّل ْ ُم َّت ِّق‬
‫ي اِّ َّما ًما‬ ٍ ُ ‫ا َّ ْع‬
ْ ‫ي َّو‬
Grant us from our spouses and offspring comfort and
coolness to our eyes, and make us leaders of the righteous.

SURAH FURQAN : VERSE 74
