 Must be submitted electronically in Canvas via Turnitin.
 Assessment template will be provided in Canvas under “Assignment/Assessment
Task 3” tab.
 follow the Student template (Stick to the word limit/sentence limit restriction
instructed in the template for each question and subparts within it).
 This is an individual piece of assessment and has to be submitted as such.
 Single submission is allowed.
 If you don’t have ‘word’ installed on your computer, follow this link and in “APPS”

Submitting the Final Assessment on Canvas:

Follow the steps as advised below:


1. Download the student template file.
2. Answer only Five questions out of the Six questions from the template file.
3. Delete all the text of the questions and instructions given in square brackets “[] ”.
4. Do not remove cover page, question numbers and subparts numbers within each
question.
5. Label your final assignment file (cleaned template file) as
‘Assignment3_Surname_Givenname_LectureGroup e.g.,
Assignment3_Georgieva_Kristalina_LF01’.
6. Run it through the “Turnitin Checking Tool” to check your assignment's similarity score are
within permissible limit (aim for <30% similarity scores).
7. Submit your assignment (Word or PDF) in canvas.

Late Penalty and Special Consideration


 Late submissions will incur a late penalty as outlined in the Course Guide also
referred below:

Penalties for Late Submission

All assignments will be marked as if submitted on time. Late submissions of


assignments without special consideration or extension will be automatically
penalised at a rate of 10% of the total marks available per day (or part of a day)
late. For example, if an assignment is worth 20 marks and it is submitted 1 day
late, a penalty of 10% or 2 marks will apply. This will be deducted from the
assessed mark. Assignments will not be accepted if more than five days late
unless special consideration or an extension of time has been approved.

Late Penalty and Special Consideration


 Extension of time: You can request for up to 7 calendar day assessment
extensions by filling the ‘extension of time’ form supported by documentary
evidence. Applications for this should be submitted at least one working day
before the due date for an assessment. The level of evidence expected in
support of applications should be commensurate with the length of extension
requested, and clearly support the period for which an extension is sought.

 Special Consideration: You can apply for special consideration within


maximum of one week (seven calendar days) past the due date or for
extensions exceeding one week (refer to

Format/Structure
 Question Paper contains six microeconomic scenario-based and problem-based questions
involving the applications of the concepts learnt from week 1 to week 10.

 You must answer five out of these five questions.

 Each question is worth of 10 marks. Total marks as well as marking distribution within each
part of the question is explicitly stated.

 Instructions including word limits (and/or sentence limit) for all the subparts within each
question are provided. Strictly follow the instructions and word (or sentence limit).

 Diagrams can be inserted into your assignment document in any way you like, i.e. created in
the word-processing software itself, or inserted as a photograph of a pencil drawing or from
another software.

Coverage and Supporting Material

• All the contents covered in the semester from week 1 to week 10


will be assessed.
• For successful completion of the questions, you should be able to
critically evaluate and apply the concepts learned in the course.
• Sample question paper is available to you on canvas to practise in
week 11/12 tutorials. In addition to, you should review the lecture
slides, tutorial questions and suggested text book readings to
prepare for this assignment.
