Expression of Interest from BIS Licensed Jewellers/Refineries


for setting up of Collection and Purity Testing Centre
under the Gold Monetization Scheme

1. Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) invites Expression of Interest (EOI) from Jewellers and
Refiners holding BIS licence for IS 1417 “Gold And Gold Alloys, Jewellery/Artefacts —
Fineness And Marking — Specification” for Setting up of Collection and Purity Testing
Centre (CPTC) under the Gold Monetization Scheme of Ministry of Finance, Government
of India.

2. Only those licensed jewelers and Refiners should submit their EOI who are interested in
setting up CPTC in accordance with the “Policy for qualifying of BIS Licensed
Jewellers/Refineries to act as CPTC under the Gold Monetization Scheme” which has been
uploaded on our website www.bis.org.in.

3. EOI for setting up of CPTC at any location in India may be submitted, in the prescribed
format given below, to Head (Hallmarking), Bureau of Indian Standards, Room No. 459,
Manakalaya, 9, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi-110002 or by email to
hallmarking@bis.org.in.

4. The last date for submitting EOI is 31st December 2015.
