The Correlation between Anxiousness and Aggressiveness toward Karate Self-Defense Sport Achievement on Male Kumite Athletes (the Study of Correlation on Kumite Athletes in National Champion among Students of Sebelas Maret Cup VII Surakarta). This research aims at finding out: 1) the direct correlation between anxiousness level toward karate self-defense sport achievement on male kumite athlete. 2) The direct correlation between Anxiousness level toward karate selfdefense sport achievement on male kumite athlete. 3) The indirect correlation between Anxiousness level toward karate self-defense sport achievement on male kumite athlete through aggressiveness level. Research method that was used in this research is descriptive correlation method. Populations of the research are male kumite athletes in National Championship among students of Sebelas Maret Cup VII Surakarta that amount 103 respondents. The research used total sampling. The variables of research are anxiousness, aggressiveness and achievement, by using the measurements, i.e. questionnaire and documentation of total achievements achieved by each athlete. The gained data will be analyzed by using path analysis with SPSS 12.00 and its standard deviation 5%. The result of research shows that: 1) there is a direct correlation between an anxiousness level toward karate self-defense sport achievement on male kumite athletes. it is proven by the result of t test amount -2,483 with p = 0,015 < 0,05. The higher level of anxiousness will make lower achievement that is achieved and vice versa. 2) There is a direct correlation between Anxiousness level toward karate selfdefense sport achievement on male kumite athlete. It can be proven from the result of t test amount 4,332 with p = 0,000 < 0,05. The higher level of athletes aggressiveness will upgrade the achievement that is achieved. 3) There is an indirect correlation between Anxiousness level toward karate self-defense sport achievement on male kumite athlete through aggressiveness level. It was proven from t test result that shows -12,225 with p = 0,000. It means that the higher level of athletes anxiousness will make lower their aggressiveness and achievement. Based on findings of the research, some suggestions are taken for coaches of karate self-defense sport to improve in getting achievement maximally in order to teach and guide athletes as part of their main jobs. They not only coach physics, techniques, and tactics but also pay attention more to athletes physiological factor related to anxiousness and aggressiveness. The suggestions for kumite athletes are: it is better to do consultation extensively with their coach if they face anxious problems; they suppose to understand how to develop and improve aggressive behavior and keep their controlled aggressiveness so that it does not cause enmity, 7

and they are able to restrain their aggressive behavior in line with competition guidance.
