FIRE TRAINING COLLABORATION WITH BOMBA PROPOSAL

INTRODUCTION

SME Areospace has total 265,000 sq/ft compound area, and we are established since
1992. As time flies, now after 30 years of operational in aerospace industry, SMEAe have
trust customer from all over the world like Boeing, airbus and may more airline. With over
600 employees we are operating 24hours to catch up all the customer order. So many
hazards and danger can occur when we are operating 24 hours per day with the old safety
facilities we have, it will not make harm to our employees itself, it also will impact our
customer property and it will goes to other damages.

OBJECTIVE

This training objective is to ensure each of the department have one or two
employees who knows and have some knowledge in handling fire or emergency. In order to
wait for the response from BOMBA to come, our employees MUST be the 1 st line attack
party to extinguish the fire if happen, and after BOMBA arrive, this person will handing over
the situation and what current action we doing while waiting for them. BOMBA will
continue the next step with their equipment. So the knowledge for the 1 st line attack party is
the most important since this 1st line attack party is the 1 st person who will take an action to
extinguish the fire. Other than awareness, we at ESG also can strengthen our Fire procedure
where need to align with BOMBA requirement.

PROGRAMME PROPOSE

This training is limited to small fire hazard and how to use and maintaining fire
extinguisher properly. The module and training date will propose separately after received
approval from SMEAe management team, ESG Team will conduct a meeting with BOMBA
and arrangement about this training. This training will conduct on the ‘safety week’ and we
will invite BOMBA to do some talk and demo also walk-around in the premise to get advice
from them to improve our system. Tentative programme as per below:

Session 1 (25pax)

– 0830H : Talk and brief from BOMBA (syllabus prepare by BOMBA)

- 1030H : Break for stand easy
- 1045H : Demonstration for using fire extinguisher
- 1130H : Training completion

Session 2 (25pax)

- 1400H : Talk and brief from BOMBA (syllabus prepare by BOMBA)

- 1600H : Break for Tea time

- 1615H : Demonstration for using fire extinguisher

- 1700H : Training completion

BUDGET IMPACT

As the quotation from BOMBA, with two session talk and demo will impact about
Ringgit Malaysia seven hundred only (RM700.00) quotation as per attached. With this low
budget and high impact training it will give company a big value in term of awareness and
knowledge.
