recommend zoom, it is easy to use)
 Assignment #1:

 Read and analyze about "Types of Nonfiction" pages: 386,388,389 also watch the
videos (links below) to fill out a diagram similar to the one above, where you show
similarities and differences between articles and essays, in your notebook. The
following chart is just an example (you can use whichever you want to highlight
differences and similarities between essays and articles. This is a formative evaluation that
will help you to study for your quiz and to understand essays and articles.

 Assignment #2:) (face-to-face classes)
Group reding: Students will read Before "Hip-Hop was Hip-Hop" by Rebecca Walker and ¨I
have a Dream". In two different groups, students will read the assigned reading and once
they finish, they will explain what they read on a PANEL form. Also, they will answer some
questions given by the teacher. (This will be the reading control of the week)

Assignment #3 A,B,C :
Write a Persuasive Essay: write a persuasive essay to persuade Principal Hermes Aluduvín
Diaz to invite a great speaker like Daniel Habif, Tony Robbins, Robin S. Sharma, Antonio
Fabregat, etc. to give a motivational, inspiring, etc. speech to all UPNFM community.

 List some issues that concern UPNFM students

 List possible speakers and the issues that each could discuss.
 Choose one speaker, and write a proposal supporting your choice.
 End with an appeal to your principal to act on the proposal.

General Guidelines:

 Double Space writing

 5 paragraphs
 Times New Roman, Arial, Verdana

On Wednesday you must finish your first draft, and on Friday you edit it
and revise the final details. Finally, you record yourself giving the essay and
you send me the video or the link to my email.
