Notes on Physical Literacy

 Physical Literacy programme in Andhra Pradesh has started in the Primary

and High Schools for Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) in the
school children.
 MOU are prepared to Sign between CSE, Ibrahimpatnam and Gopichand
sports, Telangana, Hyderabad.
 A training programme is planned for master trainers with Canadian team
sports for life and Isha yoga foundation.
 Master trainer training programme was conducted to selected PET’s in the
state covering all the Government, Zilla Parishad, Aided, Municipal,
KGBV’s, A.P.S.W.R.S, A.P.T.W.R.S and Recognised schools at Nagarjuna
University Campus, Guntur from 03rd to 09th May, 2016.

  The Master trainers and Isha yoga Foundation team has identified 20 centres
in Andhra Pradesh State to conduct Physical Literacy yoga programme to
PET’s and other teachers of Primary, Upper Primary and High Schools.
 The programme of Physical Education is successfully running in the all
High School and Upper primary, Primary Schools.

 Regarding the physical literacy programme is successfully conducting in the
all over Andhra pradesh in Primary, Upper Primary and High Schools.
 SCERT are given specific time table for Primary, Upper Primary and High
Schools.
 In curriculum part 4 levels of Text books and one yoga book are prepared
with subject experts. All the books are ready for printing.
 PET’s Hand book and Telugu to English Translation work are Done for all
the books.
 2017 April and May a TOT programme was conducted at CBR sports
Academy, with 10 PLT’s per District.
 The Trainers are conducted the Physical Literacy and sports training to all
the PLT’s at Division level and District level.
 CSE has issued the proceedings to District Educational Officers to form a
committee to identify the Resource Institute of Physical Literacy(RIPL).
 RIPL institute is the model on for entire physical literacy activities in the
Division.
 CSE Issued the Proceeding to All the DEO’s for NSNIS training to PLT’s
those who are interested to go in SAI Centres as per their Choice, The
Department will give On Duty facility and Pay the Required Fee to the
Trainers.
 Under Community Coaching Scheme The Depatrment are Selected the 10
PLT’s per District to Undergo training at LNCP Gwalior and LNUP
Gowhati.

ACTION TO BE TAKEN

 Strengthening of RIPL.
 Training Programme to PLT’s are planning at State level on Physical
Literacy Text book and PLT Hand book.
 The division level training are to be conduct at RIPL Centres to
strengthen it.
 Plan to Specialised Coaching to be given to PLT’s on different areas like
Yoga, Athletics, and other Games.
 Plan to conduct a Training programme with “Sports for Life” team with
Gopi chand Academy.
 Plan to conduct a training programme with “Brahma Kumari Eswari
Educational Society” on Yoga and Meditation.
  Plan to give training to One or Two SGT’s per school on Physical
Literacy and Yoga at Mandal level to teach the Physical literacy at their
Primary and Upper Primary schools.
 Plan to supply Play material to all the Schools Under SSA, RMSA, and
Physical Literacy funds for Effective implement of the Programme.

ROLE OF SAAP

 Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh Launched the programme of Play

Fields Development in the State for the Entire High Schools under the
Scheme of “MGNREGS”.
 Under “MGNREGS” there are 3500 Play Fields are notified.
 There are 3255 Play Fields are identified for Development.
 3032 Play Fields are sanctioned for Development.
 1929 Play Fields work are in Progress.
 186 Play Fields works are completed.
 SAAP Adopted the 303 Schools for Physical Literacy Development.
 A training Programme was conducted for the |PLT’s those who are
covered under 303 Schools with “TENVIC” sports Organisation.
 NTR Kreeda Vikasa Kendras are started at all the Constituency in the
Andhra Pradesh state to utilise for Physical Literacy Purpose.
