Treatment details – (To include products used):
I have prepared the treatment room with a massage bed, towels, magnifying lamp and skin care
products arranged on my trolley . I placed couch roll on the bed to protect it. Put on my uniform
and then my client arrived.
Veronica , my first client for today just arrived. I kindly asked her to fill in the consultation form
and made her comfortable on the bed, put a towel and blanket over her. She told me how happy
she is that she finally found the time to come in for a facial. She just gave birth to a little girl 6
months ago and that makes her extremely busy. She used to get regular facial treatments before
her pregnancy.
I washed and sanitized my hands and I begun the treatment with cleansing the face and neck. I
cleaned her eyes and lips with makeup remover and then double cleanse on the face and neck as
she had bit of make up on.
I used upwards motions on the neck area, and circular motions on the rest of the face, this was to
penetrate the product deep into the skin to ensure it was being cleansed properly.
I removed the residue with 2 damp facial sponges. I made sure the water was warm for the
comfort of my client.
After I removed the cleansing milk I went in with some exfoliator
I used some water to slightly dampen my client’s skin, I applied some exfoliator to my client’s
neck, chin, cheeks, nose and forehead.
I dampened my finger tips and gently, using my finger tips used circular motions to penetrate the
exfoliant
After I rubbed into skin for a minute, I removed using my damp facial sponges and warm water
After I was happy with the removal, I moved onto toner. I used rose water on a damp cotton pads
and applied all over the face and neck and I dry it the skin with tissue
I started the analysis of the skin by touching and feeling the skin, using the magnyfing lamp for a
closer look. She just told me that she has a balanced diet, drinks plenty of water, and she has a
good home care routine including cleanser, toner and moisturizer daily.
Her skin looks like she is really taking good care of it, little bit oily on the nose and forehead,
normal everywhere else, no signs of sensitivity . Elasticity and muscle tone are excellent.
Full facial treatment for normal/combination skin to include cleanse, toner, eyelash tint,
eyebrows tint and shape, facial massage and mask. This treatment plan and products will
suit Veronica ’s skin needs.
I have continued the treatment with tinting the lashes. She confirmed once again that she
wants Blue Black on the lashes and Brown on the eyebrows as she told me during the
patch test 48h ago. I have applied Vaseline around the eyes and around brows, I added 2
drops of 10% volume hydrogen peroxide to the black tint in my bowl, mixed very well and
then carefully covered her lashes with product with a tinting brush. I cleaned the brush
and continued with tinting the eyebrows with brown tint mixed with 2 drops of 10%
volume hydrogen peroxide. After 5 minutes, I removed the tint on her brows with damp
cotton wool until there was no product left. Used the same procedure for the lashes. I
measured the brows using a spatula and then I’ve plucked out the extra hairs with
sterilized tweezers.
Continued then with facial massage, I sanitized my hands again , placed the grapeseed oil
in my hands and rubbed them together to warm it up. I did the massage for about 20
minutes. Meanwhile, I have already decided what mask I am going to use on my client.
I have applied moisturizing commercial mask (containing sunflower seed oil and green tea,
vitamins and amino acids) on her neck, chin, cheecks , sides of the face. For the nose and
forehead, I used Magnesium Carbonate clay mask mixed with rose water to refine the
pores. After 10 minutes I removed the mask using sponges and warm water.
Ended up the treatment with applying moisturizer
Products used:
Veronica confessed it was nice to enjoy the time she had for herself with a facial treatment. She felt
spoiled and she promised she will do her best to book her facials regularly again.
Aftercare feedback:
Aftercare advice:
Cleanse and tone every morning and evening
Apply moisturizer twice a day
Apply sun block cream daily
Keep going with balanced diet
Exfoliate once a week
Book another treatment in 4 weeks time
Homecare Advice:
For best results, she also should exfoliate twice a week, apply a good mask once a week and
see a beautician for a facial once a month.
I also advised her to eat loads of fresh fruits and vegetables as possible and drink at least 2
litres of water or herbal teas a day.
