Visualizations such as infographics are increasingly instrumental in facilitating optimal

analytical approaches in different fields ranging from science, journalism and other key areas

(Viégas, & Wattenberg, 2015). Accurate clear and coherent displays can go a long way in

facilitating the comprehension of complex data sets through information simplification thus

enabling the achievement of objective decisions.

In emphasizing the significance of visualizations, the article is detailed in presenting

several illustrations that help a reader appreciate the full importance of infographics. Illustrations

such as the limitations associated with the visualizations of information on the Space Shuttle

Challenger (1986) help reader’s to appreciate the full significance of clear visualizations in

facilitating objective criticism and redesign. The authors reveals the need to strike a favorable

balance between artistic aesthetics and computer imaging capabilities in the development of

visualizations. The author makes emphasis on the importance of factors such as the beauty of

visualizations to captivate viewers therefore improve comprehension of content presented. In

overall, the documents are insightful to both those involved in the creation of visualizations as

well as the ultimate consumers of visual information.

With the increased availability of different datasets relating to variant subjects, it is

important to come up with visualizations that separate the variant elements analysis. Analysts

often tend to concentrate on assessment of different aspects of a subject using infographic like a

graph. While the various details included in a single infographic can be correct, the resultant data

concentration compromises analysis. The aim not infographics I to simplify data sets and

increase clarity thus facilitate optimal clarity. Presenting differing factor analysis like say

the clarity intended. The separation of differing focus elements in individual graphs allows for

clarity in the analysis process.
