Topic : Whole Numbers
Learning Area : Addition with the highest total of 1000
Learning Objective: Pupils will be taught to understand addition as combining two
groups of objects

Learning Outcomes: At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:

1. Add two numbers without regrouping:


i) two 1-digit number
ii) a 2-digit number and a 1-digit number; and
iii) two 2-digit number

Previous Knowledge: Pupils are able to count numbers to 1000.

Explicit Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the lesson, the pupils will

1. add two 1-digit number, without using any aid correctly.


2. add a 2-digit number and a 1-digit number, without using any aid correctly.
3. write the addition operation using standard written method.
