Do I Really Know Myself?

I can sing. Does it make me a singer? Dancing alone inside the room cheers me up and
gives me happiness. Would I think I am a dancer now? Running and rejoicing underneath the
golden sun while playing my favorite sport, makes me a player? These are the things that I've
been pondering lately. Does knowing my real identity means defining and specifying it?

With the basic knowledge about myself, I know my name, years of living, birthdate,
parents name, sister's name and my friends. It is indeed great to know yourself even at the basic
level. However, considering other people's opinion about me: hard working, optimistic, a lover,
joyful being, active person, studious learner, indecisive, stubborn, etc. defines who am I?
Digging and venturing inside of my life and personality is quite a laborious task. It takes a
decade or more to really know me because since the beginning, I believed that I can be anything
that I want. The things that brought me joy and learning in my existence will be treasured and
gnawed on until I have no more time to spare on Earth.

Talking about personality, it varies every time of the day. The activities I do, gives me the
feeling of completeness and makes me feel I’m having a substantial life. And YES! I can be a
singer, dancer, player or anything that I want because that is the real me. Like the arts in different
regions, they are diverse and dynamic. Defining and specifying my life would be dull and bland.
Because the real me is colorful and in different shapes. I am limitless.
