What is composite figures?
B. Developmental Activities
Trivia
1. Presentation

Are you familiar with this vehicle?

Are you inspired by her?

What did you notice on the design of the E-jeepney?
What shapes are combined?
Find the areas of each shape.
What is the total area of shape that made up the E-jeepney painting?
What is the area of the yellow part of the E-jeepney including the window of
the driver?

2. Group Activity
Group the class into four and give them activity. Each group will answer an
activity assigned to them.
a. Standards
-Listen to your leader.
-Open your camera.
-Use virtual raised-hand when you want to say something.
-Participate in group discussion.
-Finish your work and finalize your answer.

b. Presentation of Scoring Rubrics

5. Discussion
a. How did you find the activity?
b. How did you do to arrive at the correct answer?
6. Fixing Skills
Solve the word problem

1. What are the shapes made up of the pedestrian lane?

2. What is the area of the triangle?
3. What is the area of the rectangle?
4. What is the area of the semi- circle?
5. How much will they spend in painting five pedestrian lane?

7. Generalization
How to find the area of a composite figures?
To find the area of composite figures:
1. Separate the figure into basic shapes. (Square, circle, rectangle, triangle,
semicircle, etc.)
2. Find the area of each shape then add the areas altogether.
3. If you are only looking for the area of a shaded part, you may need to
subtract the areas.

8. Application

Find an object that has combined shape that can be found at home. Measure
each shape and compute the area of the composite figure. Picture it and post in
our FB Group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/563464001524026
