How to Peel Garlic

The skin of the garlic may feel rough to the hands, and the garlic may also be
too small to peel with a traditional peeler. Fortunately, there are several ways to
peel garlic quickly.

Required:
- bowl
- garlic

1. Separate all parts of the garlic bulb.

2. Place a few cloves of garlic in a metal, ceramic, or plastic bowl. Cover the
bowl with a lid or another bowl, which is placed upside down. Alternatively,
you can also put the onions in a sturdy old plastic bottle, and seal it tightly.
Tip: Small to medium sized bottles will perform well. The onion grains need to
bump into each other to remove the skin.

3. Shake the container vigorously for 15 seconds. Make sure you hear the
onions hitting the sides of the container.

4. Open the bottle cap. Remove the onions and skin. The onion should be
completely peeled off. If some of the onions are only partially peeling, shake
the container again perhaps for a few seconds.
