1. What is Procedure Text


Procedure text is a text that explains or helps us how to make or use something.
Teks prosedur adalah teks yang menjelaskan atau membantu kita bagaimana membuat atau
menggunakan sesuatu.

2. The Social Function Of Procedure Text


Its social function is to describe how something is completely done through a sequence of steps.
3. Communicative Purpose Of Procedure Text
Communicative purpose of this text is to describe how something is made through a sequence of
actions or steps

4. The Generic Structures Of Procedure Text


Procedure text has three structures including :
1. Purpose, contains the purpose of making the procedure text or the final result to be
achieved (can be in the form of a title)
Tujuan, berisi tentang tujuan pembuatan teks prosedur atau hasil akhir yang akan dibuat
tercapai (bisa dalam bentuk judul)
2. Material, contains information about the tools or materials needed, but not all procedure
texts contain this section (commonly found in recipes).
Bahan, berisi informasi tentang alat atau bahan yang dibutuhkan, tetapi tidak semuanya teks
prosedur berisi
bagian ini (biasanya ditemukan dalam resep).
3. Steps, contains the methods taken to achieve the goal.
Langkah-langkah, berisi cara-cara yang dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan.

5. There are 3 types of Procedure Texts that do not use materials.

(1) Texts that explain how something works or how to use instruction / operation manuals.
(Text yang menjelaskan bagaimana bekerja atau cara melakukan instruksi secara
manual )
e.g. How to use the video, the computer, the tape recorder, the photocopier, the fax.

(2) Texts that instruct how to do a particular activity.


(Teks yang menjelaskan peraturan dari bagaimana melakukan kegiatan-kegiatan
tertentu.
e.g. recipes, rules for games, science experiments, road safety rules.

(3) Texts that deal with human behavior.


text yang mengajarkan manusia tentang kehidupan atau yang berhubungan dengan sifat
dan kebiasaan manusia.
e.g: How to be happy, How to be useful for someone, How to live happily, How to
succeed

6. Language Feature of Procedure Text

1. Simple Present Tense ( S + V 1 )


2. Imperative Sentence
Kalimat Perintah. For example, heat, mix, add, plug in, etc.
3. Action verbs, For example crack, chop, cut, heat, mix, dan seterusnya..
4. Adverbs
sequence adverbs. For example first, second, next, then, finally, while
adverbials (kata keterangan) untuk menyatakan rinci waktu, dan tempat.
For example, "Cook the mixture for one hours" , "Boil the water for 15 minutes", "Crack
the egg into the bowl" .

HOW TO MAKE KOLAK


Ingredients:
500 gr bananas ,
2 cups coconut milk
90 gr brown sugar ,
Salt , 4 cups of water
Steps:
First, peel the bananas and cut them into small circle
Second, boil in 4 glass of water for 15 minutes
Third, in other saucepan simmer the coconut milk with a pinch of salt and brown sugar, stir and be
careful that the coconut milk doesn’t quite come to the boil. After that, when the brown sugar is
dissolved, put in the bananas and continue to simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes, until bananas
are cooked
Finally kolak is ready to serve. It can be served hot neither you can put ice to make an iced kolak.
HOW TO TURN ON AN IPHONE

1. Locate the Power button. This is also referred to as the "Sleep/Wake" button. The button
