Laboratory Safety Rules
a) Below are some do’s and don’ts to follow in the laboratory. Put a (√) for the do’s and (X) for the don’ts.
2. Open all doors and windows while you are in the laboratory
3. Before doing your experiments or activities, read and try to understand all the given
instructions.
4. Ask your teacher if you do not understand or are in doubt about the instructions given to you
before you start doing your experiments or activities.
7. Check that the label on any container describes exactly the chemical required.
10. Do not remove any apparatus, chemicals and other substances from the laboratory without
the teacher’s permission.
11. Play with lighters, matches, apparatus, fittings and chemicals stored in the laboratory.

16. Report all accidents, breakages and spillages immediately to your teacher.
