THE IMPACT OF WORKING WHILE STUDYING TOWARDS STUDENTS'
ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AMONG THE SELECTED SHS TO CDSGA. 
INTRODUCTION

The goal of the study is to determine “The Impact of Working while Studying towards
Students’ Academic Performance among the selected SHS students to CDSGA”. 
Increased independence, the capacity to budget, manage a schedule, and the
acquisition of soft skills such as communication and problem-solving skills are just a
few of the benefits. Higher dropout rates, delayed graduation rates, and poor academic
performance are just a few of the negative consequences.

During the bygone days, teenagers had been focusing only on studies, and part time
jobs were not heard of. Today, teenage students, the world over, have been engaging
in part time jobs, especially in the developed nations.  Although there are different
views on this topic, I would like to state that it is a good idea for teenagers to take up
part time jobs while they are students because they can learn about responsibility and
punctuality; about the value of money and also learn how to work as a member of a
team.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study  focuses on the problems encountered by 'The impact of working while
studying towards students Academic Performance among the selected SHS in
CDSGA.

Particularly, this study attempts to answer the following questions:

Q1. What are the reasons why the selected students in SHS in CDSGA are obliged to
work while studying SHS working students  in CDSGA? 

Q2. What are the work-related problems of the respondents?

Q3.  What are the problems encountered by SHS working students  in CDSGA?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study aimed to provide valuable informations on what is the impact of working
while studying towards student academic performances among the selected SHS in
CDSGA for CDSGA, knowing the impact of SHS students being working students
will help them to know the situation, needs, and what they can effectively do for
CDSGA SHS students.

For the teachers, they will know the weaknesses and strengths of their student
workers, They will also learn new techniques and strategies in teaching.
For the parents, it can help them to understand the situation of their children. They
will know that their children should prioritize school work and be learned, not be
stressed and tired of work.

For the students, especially those working students, they will understand that studying
is what they should prioritize.
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
 As the saying goes, "Education is the key to success", and we all know that many of
today's students around the world have not been blessed with good educational
opportunities. For others to support their living and sustain their educational needs to
continue their study, they need to multi-task wherein they need to work while
studying. The purpose of this research is to identify the impacts and difficulties of
SHS working students of Colegio de San Gabriel towards their academic
performance.
