PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING:
This BTS J-Hope Bird Beanie was inspired by the original one that J-Hope was wearing. I do
not claim to own this design, all credits go to the original owner of the design. This is just to
show you, how I recreated it in my own way. There are differences from the original, but I did
my best to make it look like a match.
You may alter the parts; you may make it smaller or bigger. You can use different hook sizes
and yarns; this all depends on you. Again, this is just to show you how I made it; you can
always change it as you see fit.
Lastly, please do not share this to ANYONE. Don’t use my photos as well when promoting the
beanie. You don’t need to tag me when you post the beanie either. You may sell the beanie
as well.
Thank you!

Row 3: Dec SC the first 2 sts, SC across, dec SC the last two sts, chain 1, turnover

** Keep doing this until you form a triangle, always alternate between Dec row and non-Dec

Do the same for the other side, but make sure to place it directly across the first triangle flap
Part 3: Straps
Measure 30 inches:
- Cut up 16 strands of yellow yarn
- Cut up 16 strands of white yarn
First strap:
Get 8 strands of yellow yarn and 8 strands of white yarn
Combine together then fold the whole thing into 2
You should have a loop on top.
Loop the first strap into the end of the triangle flap.
We will be braiding by fours. Separate the 8 strands of yellow into 4. Separate the 8 strands of
white into 4.
So basically: the four stands of yellow will be counted as 1 strand, the same goes for the rest.

Part 4: Beak
Using the color blue yarn. Don’t forget to use a stitch marker if needed.

- to make this you can follow this tutorial on youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIorjkvnR7c
- Compared to the one in the video, for this hat I only used a small amount of red yarn.
You can use as much as you want, it’s up to you as well
After making the red pompom, attach it to the top of the white circle that you just made. After
attaching the two together, you can now attach it to the top of the beanie. Attach by sewing.
