Define Circle and its parts.
Measure the diameter and radius of different circles.
Construct Circles
Subject Matter:
Unit 06: Geometry, Topic: Circle and its parts, Exercise 5.5, page # 104 from class III.

Procedure
Beginning: Student’s Prior Knowledge
Motivation: Teacher will introduce the topic by showing some pictures of circle
shapes (Coins, Water bottle Cap and Buttons).
Activity 01:
Diameter Activity:
Take a circular piece of paper, fold it, so that it is divided into two equal parts.
Activity 02:
Radius Activity:
Now fold the circular strips two times. So, that it is divided in four equal parts.
Activity 03:
I have here a problem. An electronic and communication engineer designed a circular
disk to be put up in a call center building. Before he installs the disk, he let his men
check the disk and its parts.
Supposed, teacher is engineer and the students are working men, what are now the
parts of the circular disk?
Identify the Centre, radius and diameter of the circle.
