Diagram.
Learning Objectives: The learners are expected to solve problems involving sets using the
Venn diagram.
Description of its use in the learning instruction: This activity can be used during their
asynchronous class as an application for the lesson. This will target the skills in solving
problems involving sets using a Venn diagram.
Procedure: Think of a scenario in a real-life situation where problems involving sets are shown
and use a Venn diagram to show the relationship.
Materials Needed: A file containing the activity the students need to accomplish.

Topic: Polynomials
MELC Competency: The learner illustrates and differentiates related terms in algebra:
a. where is a positive integer
b. constants and variables
c. literal coefficients and numerical coefficients
d. algebraic expressions, terms, and polynomials
e. number of terms, degree of the term, and degree of the polynomial.
Learning Objectives: The learners are expected to;
1) Give examples of polynomials, monomials, binomials, and
Trinomials and
2) Identify the base, coefficient, terms, and exponent sin a given
polynomial.
Description of its use in the learning instruction: This activity can be used during their
synchronous class as a preliminary activity for the lesson. This will target the skills of the
student’s critical thinking and finding words from the given.
Procedure: Find the following words inside the box.

NAME OF THE ACTIVITY: Let’s Solve!
Subject and Grade Level: Grade 7 Mathematics
Grading Period: 2nd Grading
Topic: Addition and Subtraction of Polynomials
MELC Competency: The learner adds and subtracts polynomials.
Learning Objectives: The learners are expected to solve problems involving polynomials.
Description of its use in the learning instruction: This activity can be used during their
asynchronous class as an application of the lesson. This will target the skills of critical thinking
and students appreciate the value of following rules/laws.
Procedure: With their partner, solve the given with solutions in a short bond paper. The
students scan the paper and pass it as a pdf.
Materials Needed: a. A file containing the activity the students need to accomplish.
b. Proof of picture during answering with their partner.
3. The length (l) of the rectangle is x2 + 2x - 3 and the width (w) is 5x + 4, what is the perimeter
of the rectangle.
4. From the sum of 3x3 + 7x2 - 5 and 2x2 + 3x + 8 take away 5x2 + x -5.

Grading Period: 2nd Grading
Topic: Solving Problems Involving Conversion of Units
MELC Competency: The learner solves problems involving the conversion of units of
measurement.
Learning Objectives: The learners are expected to solve problems involving the conversion of
units.
Description of its use in the learning instruction: This activity can be used during their
asynchronous class as an application about the lesson. This will practice independence in
performing the seatwork and appreciate the appropriate solution for problems.
Procedure: This is an individual activity where the students solve the given problems showing
their solutions.
Materials Needed: a. A file containing the activity the students need to accomplish.
1. A man with the flu has a temperature of 1020F. What is his temperature on the Celsius scale?
2. The engine in a car has a 12 L displacement. What is the displacement in cubic inches?
3. A family decides to put tiles in the entryway of their home. The entryway has an area of 6
square meters. If each tile is 5 centimeters by 5 centimeters, how many tiles will it take to cover
the entryway
a) Construct angles with the following measures: 90°, 60° , 30° , 120°
Directions: Using a compass and a straightedge, draw the following. Use one circle only. Use
the box at the right to draw your circle.
1.Center G
2.Diameter SE
3.Radius GI
4.Secant NI
5.Tangent AT
Procedure:
1. Cut pieces of midribs with the indicated measures. There are three pieces in each set.
2. With each set of midribs, try to form a triangle.

length. What pattern did you observe? ________________________________________
Present the following to your students and ask them to work in groups. Encourage them to write
as many possible answers and explanations.
Procedure:
1. Group the class into three groups.
2. Each group will be assigned 1 graph each.
3. Answer the process questions below.
4. Present your answers to the class.
Process Questions:
1. What information can we get from each of the above charts or graphs? Discuss each chart or
graph.
2. Do they present the same information?
3. Describe each of the charts/graphs. What do you think are some uses of each of the charts or
graphs?
