2. Review
DAY 1
• On the first day, the teacher gives a preliminary activity about dividing whole numbers
and lets the students identify the dividend, divisor and quotient. The teacher gives 15-
seconds to answer and after the time the teacher gives chance to students to answer to
the teacher.

DAY 2 REVIEW
• On the second day of the discussion, the teacher will have a review on the previous topic
about Division of Polynomials by a monomial. She will be giving students 15 seconds to
answer the given example and they will check afterwards. The teacher will encourage the
students to answer and then she will be asking the students of their answers.
DAY 3 REVIEW
• On the third day of the discussion, the teacher will be reviewing about the previous
discussion bout Division of Polynomials with more than one term. She will be asking
students on what the rules are and/or steps in Dividing Polynomials by a binomial before

giving them examples to answer.

Aside from the examples given to the students as part of their review, the teacher will also be giving the
student a video to watch. Attached link is the link of the video that will be given to the students. LINK:

B. Lesson Proper

LEARNING ACTIVITY LEARNING MATERIAL

• GAINING ATTENTION

DAY 1
The teacher will be presenting an ice breaker, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfWlot6h_J
specifically a dance entitled “Shake it off”. She will be M
performing the ice breaker together with the students. In
this way, students will be active and ready for learning
the new lesson.

DAY 2
The teacher will be presenting the steps of
dividing polynomials with a song. First, the teacher play
the song and sing it to the class and afterwards the
students and teacher will be singing together the song

for them to remember the steps.

DAY 3

• Just like other topics, Polynomials can also be

applied in real-life situations. In this case, the
teacher will be gaining the students attention by
providing them examples on how polynomials
are applicable in out daily life.
• After providing enough examples, it’s the
students turn to identify polynomials application
and let them provide another example on their
own.
B. INFORMING LEARNERS OF OBJECTIVES

• The teacher will be asking the students on their

expectations for the class/lesson today.
• Before incorporating the new lesson, the teacher
will be informing the students with the learning
outcomes or the learning objectives of the
lesson. She will be presenting the PowerPoint
Presentation containing the lesson’s objectives.
C. STIMULATE RECALL OF PRIOR LEARNING
DAY 1
• The teacher will be activating students’ prior
knowledge about Division. This will help them
remember te process and steps in division which
will be applied on the new topic about Division of
Polynomials. The teacher will be asking this
question and will have an interactive interaction
with the students.

• After the interactive activity, the teacher will be

defining what is a division and give students
examples to answer.

• The teacher will always appreciate students’

participation. After giving students the examples
above, she will be providing the next example
attached below and let the students identify the
dividend, the divisor, and the quotient. After
identifying those mentioned, the teacher will let
the students divide the given example and ask
someone to volunteer in answering.
• After the activity, the teacher will then
incorporate division to the main topic about
Division of Polynomials by a monomial. She will
be relating division on how Division of
Polynomials will work and what are the ways in
dividing.
DAY 2
• On the second day of the discussion, the teacher
will be asking the students about the previous
topic. She will be asking the students about the
concept of Dividing Polynomials by a monomial.
After the interactive sharing with the students,
the teacher will be answering the
assignment/practice activity she gave the
students prior the day. She will be asking
volunteers from the students to answer each
item and they will check if the answers given are
correct afterwards.

• Answering the assignment will serve as

stimulation of the student’s prior knowledge.

DAY 3
• On the third and last day of the synchronous
session, the teacher will be asking the students
about the topic discussed last meeting. She will
call a volunteer to share what s/he remembered
to the class before they will be answering the
assignment given last meeting.
• The teacher will be calling the attention of the
students by letting them answer the items
correctly. In this way, the students will be
activating their prior knowledge. They will be
able to use it on the next topic about Word
Problems involving Division of Polynomials.

LEARNING ACTIVITY LEARNING MATERIAL

D. PRESENTING EXAMPLES or INSTANCES OF THE

NEW LESSON

DAY 1: DISCUSSION
• The teacher will be asking students idea about a
monomial. They have an exchange of ideas
about monomial.
• After the exchange of ideas, the teacher will then
be defining first what is a monomial and then give
examples of a monomial.
• Additionally, since the topic is about Division of
Polynomials, the teacher will be introducing the
student’s important information that will be very
useful all throughout the lesson.

• The teacher will the start the discussion by

providing students examples of Division of
Polynomials involving monomials. By presenting
examples, the teacher will be able to initiate
interaction with the students by asking
questions. Before presenting the solutions one
by one, the teacher will first ask the student to
answer it themselves and the teacher will show
the correct answer to the students afterwards.

• After presenting students enough examples, the

teacher will give students examples that will be
answering as practice on their own. They will be
given minutes of the time before checking. They
teacher will ask the students if someone gets the
correct answer. (FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT
#1)
• After the example given to the students to try, the
teacher will be providing another example for
them to answer together so that the students will
be guided.

• Since the given previous examples are easy,

after the students understand the concept, the
teacher will be providing much complicated
examples so that students will be ready with what
is coming their way soon. The teacher will be
asking students question along the way. She will
have an interactive discussion with the students.
From time to time, she will be asking students
random question to make sure that students are
still listening.
• After presenting enough examples and made
sure that students already understand the
concept, the teacher will again let the students
answer one item for them to practice the topic.
They will be checking afterwards. (FORAMTIVE
ASSESSMENT #2)
DAY 2: DISCUSSION
• For the second day of the discussion, the teacher
will be asking students idea about binomial which
is related to the topic today about Division of
Polynomials by a binomial. They have an
interactive discussion of the topic then the
teacher will define binomial.

• Additionally, the teacher will present the students

with the rules in dividing polynomials by a
binomial.

• After presenting the steps and/or rules in

dividing polynomials, the teacher will let the https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lT00iLntF
students watch a video related to the topic. The c&t=114s
video contains examples on how to divide
polynomials by a binomial.
• After presenting the video, the teacher will have
to provide a follow-up example. This time, the
teacher will let the students answer the example.
She will call someone along the process to
answer her questions.

• After answering all the examples together, the

teacher will give the students formative
assessment. They will be given two minutes to
answer 1 item and they will be checking
afterwards. (FORMATIVE TEST #1)
• After the formative test, the teacher will provide 1
more example before proceeding to the next.
They will be answering this together.
• The teacher provided another example, but this
time, it already involves Dividing Polynomial by a
binomial with a remainder.

• Once the students already understand this

concept, the teacher will again give them a
Formative test. They will be given 2 minutes to
answer 1 item individually. They will be checking
afterwards.
DAY 3: DISCUSSION

• The teacher will be introducing the topic to the

students more by providing examples. The
teacher will be introducing the students on how
word problems work and she will be identifying
the given, what is asked in the problem and such.

• The teacher will also introduce the students on

how to check if their answers are correct or not.

• The teacher will be giving another example so

that the students will understand the lesson
better.
• This time, teacher will let the students watch a
recorded video presentation by the teacher. The
video contains the solution of the problem step by
step.
