I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, you should be able to:
1. identify the dividend, divisor, and quotient in the division of polynomials,
2. divide polynomials such as:
a.) polynomial by a monomial,
b.) polynomial by a polynomial with more than one term,
c.) polynomials involving word problems
3. show active and appropriate engagement during the discussion and activities,
4. perform division of polynomials using long division
5. create a KWL chart (graphical organizer) that summarize the concept learned about dividing
polynomials.

Materials:
• PowerPoint Presentation (PPT)
• Video Presentation
Values Integration:
• Develop the value of determination and perseverance in acquiring the skills
Research Skill:
• Summarization Skills
This ability plays a vital role in the initial level of the searching process, a period
when students gather information. Data can be collected from various sources,
but they must look out for relevant sources with proper recognition of creators to
avoid plagiarism.
III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
Before formally starting lesson, the class will be having a short prayer. The teacher will be
presenting the prayer using the link below. Attached link is a YouTube Video of the short
prayer.

2. Review
DAY 1
• On the first day, the teacher gives a preliminary activity about dividing whole numbers
and lets the students identify the dividend, divisor and quotient. The teacher gives 15-
seconds to answer and after the time the teacher gives chance to students to answer to
the teacher.
DAY 2 REVIEW
• On the second day of the discussion, the teacher will have a review on the previous topic
about Division of Polynomials by a monomial. She will be giving students 15 seconds to
answer the given example and they will check afterwards. The teacher will encourage the
students to answer and then she will be asking the students of their answers.
DAY 3 REVIEW
• On the third day of the discussion, the teacher will be reviewing about the previous
discussion bout Division of Polynomials with more than one term. She will be asking
students on what the rules are and/or steps in Dividing Polynomials by a binomial before
• GAINING ATTENTION
DAY 1
The teacher will be presenting an ice breaker, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfWlot6h_J
specifically a dance entitled “Shake it off”. She will be M
performing the ice breaker together with the students. In
this way, students will be active and ready for learning
the new lesson.
DAY 2
The teacher will be presenting the steps of
dividing polynomials with a song. First, the teacher play
the song and sing it to the class and afterwards the
students and teacher will be singing together the song
DAY 3
• On the third and last day of the synchronous
session, the teacher will be asking the students
about the topic discussed last meeting. She will
call a volunteer to share what s/he remembered
to the class before they will be answering the
assignment given last meeting.
• The teacher will be calling the attention of the
students by letting them answer the items
correctly. In this way, the students will be
activating their prior knowledge. They will be
able to use it on the next topic about Word
Problems involving Division of Polynomials.
DAY 1: DISCUSSION
• The teacher will be asking students idea about a
monomial. They have an exchange of ideas
about monomial.
• After the exchange of ideas, the teacher will then
be defining first what is a monomial and then give
examples of a monomial.
• Additionally, since the topic is about Division of
Polynomials, the teacher will be introducing the
student’s important information that will be very
useful all throughout the lesson.
Word Document
• The students will create a graphical organizer
which is KWL Chart that will summarize concept
learned about dividing polynomials.

DAY 1
• Before ending the lesson on day 1, the teacher will be giving the student the item attached below
for them to practice answering or dividing polynomials by a monomial at home.
DAY 2
• On the second day, before ending the discussion, the teacher will leave an assignment to the
students. This assignment will serve as practice so that students will be able to learn more on
the topic.
