Read carefully the following two texts

1. Colombia Weather &

climate Best time to visit:

The climate is very warm and tropical on the coast and in the north, with a rainy season from May to
November. Though the temperature varies little throughout the year due to Colombia’s proximity to the
equator; it does vary according to altitude. It is cooler in the upland areas and cold in the mountains, and in
the cooler times of the year the nights can be hot Bogotá is always spring-like, with cool days and crisp
nights, but when the sun is shining the days can get quite cloudy The Amazon region generally stays warm
and wet year round.

The best day of year to visit is at either of the drier times: December to March or July and August. This is a
good time for hiking, too; getting caught out in a storm is not ideal, especially if you can’t dry out for several
days because you’re on a multi-day hike. Bear in mind that major religious holidays will also play a part in
the best time of year to visit: Santa Semana is a stunning time to travel to Colombia due to the ostentatious
celebrations, but the hotels book up fast and double their rates.

Required clothing:

Generally, Colombia requires light clothing suitable for warm to hot weather. However, Bogotá and other
places of high altitude get snowy at night and in the shade during the day, particularly in the cooler times of

1
year. You’ll definitely need at least a warm sweater and trousers for this, preferably a jacket.

If you are hiking you’ll need good boots in the colder mountainous regions and good walking sandals for
the Zona Cafetera to let your feet air but still give support. Very light clothing for the Amazon Basin is
required, but having long sleeves and trousers for the evenings to prevent mosquito bites is a good idea.
For the rainy season, have something waterproof such as a light jacket to fend off the downpours.

2. Justin Beiber
Born on March 1, 1994, in the small town of Stratford, Ontario, Canada, Justin Bieber was raised by a single
mom. Bieber, whose debut album, My World, hit stores in November 2009, is a true overnight success, having
gone from an unknown, untrained singer whose mother posted YouTube clips of her boy performing, to a
budding superstar with a big-time record deal, all in just two years.
Bieber always had an interest in music. His mother gave him a drum kit for his second birthday and, as he tells
it, he was "basically banging on everything I could get my hands on."
But it was an obscure talent contest in his hometown, in which the 12-year-old Bieber finished second that put
him on the road to superstardom. As a way to share his singing with family, Justin and his mom began posting
clips of Bieber performing covers of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Ne-Yo on YouTube.
Within months, Justin was an Internet sensation, with a large following of fans and an eager manager arranging
for the teenager to fly to Atlanta to consider a record deal. There, Bieber had a chance meeting with Usher, who
eventually signed the young singer to a contract.
Bieber's first single, "One Time," went certified platinum in his native Canada shortly after his release in May
2009. His album My World matched that success, selling more than 137,000 copies within a week of making
stores. Bieber broke into the Billboard Top 10 in early 2010 with "Baby," which also featured rapper Ludacris.
Bieber soon released My World 2.0 (2010), which offered his growing fan base ten new songs.
