Learning Environment:
Virtual Classroom: The class is delivered online. The CeLo+ Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS) is an innovative learning
management system for online learning resources. It can be accessed through logging in @
https://cdu.brightspace.com/d2l/login. Enter your username and password to have access to the learning materials that have
been made available by the faculty.

Related Learning Experiences (RLE) Skills Laboratory: Skills lectures (group reporting, video clips) shall be done online using the CeLo+
Brightspace Learning Management System. Return demonstration of RLE procedures shall be home-based with available
resources and materials and uploaded as video assignments.
Related Learning Experiences (RLE) Clinical: Learners are provided with clinical case-based scenarios to simulate the competency
in the clinical setting. Each case has specific tasks documented by written outputs and video recordings as evidence
of practice
Independent study: Thirty hours (35hrs) are given to the learners for their self-directed learning for activities to be spent outside the
classroom utilizing available resources.

Grading System

The learner shall be graded based on the following criteria: Theory shall be 70% of the over-all grade while the Related Learning Experience shall be 30%. The semester is
divided into two graded terms, the midterm and finals. Each term is given an equal weight of 50% to come up with the final grade.

Theory – 60% Midterm Grade (50%) Final Term Grade (50%)

1. Diagnostic
Pre-test 15% 15%
It is given before the start of the online class interactive discussion. It is a written examination based on the different learning outcomes of each module. It has
varied modes of instruction such as identification, true or false, matching type or enumeration. The learners are expected to get 75% from the total number of points
to get a passing remark.

2. Formative Assessment

Case Analysis (Group Based) 15% 15%

This is a group activity where it is given 20% rating and each member of the group contributes by accomplishing a specific task assigned to her/him. The learner
output is given 80% rating for the completion of the written report. A rubric is provided for the learner’s preference.

Discussion Forum (Participation) 15% 15%

Discussion Forum is one strategy of teaching-learning that is utilized by the Faculty. Learners are encouraged to participate by giving factual answers from reliable
sources or opinions, ideas or suggestions during class sharing. A rubric for class participation is also provided for the learner’s reference. Refer to attached appendix.

3. Summative Assessment

Post-test 20% 20%

It is given after the various online class-activities to assess the mastery of the learners based on the learning outcomes of each module. The learners are expected to
obtain 80% of the written examination in order to pass the Post-Test. Learners who get a score below 80% shall take the next Post-test until they have achieved the
expected passing rate of 80%. Each Post-test has a corresponding grade equivalent as follows: Post-Test#1=1.25, (note that a perfect score has an equivalent of
1.0), Post-Test#2=2.0, Post-Test#3=3.0, Post-Test#4=3.5, Post-test #5 and below=4.0.

Long-exam 35% 35%

It is a summative assessment to measure the competency of the learners given the different course learning outcomes of each term (Midterm, for both Theory and
RLE). The exam requires critical analysis from the learners as it is situational. Each situation carries at least 5 questions and each question has four choices for the
learner to choose the best answer. The learner is provided with a questionnaire and an answer sheet where the latter enumerates the answers through shading
appropriately in the boxes made available. A 75% passing rate is expected.

Related Learning Experience (RLE) – 40%

Skills Laboratory (70%)

Midterm Grade Final Term Grade

RLE Conceptual Quiz 20% 15%

An RLE Conceptual Quiz shall be given at the end of every RLE module as a form of terminal evaluation to measure the knowledge domain of the procedure. It has
pre-determined number of points with various types of examination such as labelling, enumeration, drills in computation and nursing process. A 75% passing is
expected.

Return demonstration 25% 20%

Most RLE Procedures require an individual return demonstration. The student shall be provided with a procedure guide complete with all the steps to perform a
particular nursing procedure. The student shall complete the procedure guide by providing the rationales of each step based on the prescribed learning references.
The student shall submit the completed procedure guide to the faculty to perform the procedure. A competency evaluation is also provided as the rubric for grading the
demonstration.

To allow the student to improve their competency before the graded performance, a practice session may be scheduled with the faculty as a group in the Nursing Arts
Laboratory (NAL) with the permission of the Level Chair.

Reports/Project - 10%
Class Reporting is one of the teaching-learning activities during RLE classes. The students are grouped to report in particular concepts while the faculty facilitates the
conduct of the class. The group shall submit a written output to the faculty in-charge as posted in the bulletin board with respect to time and schedule. The student \
shall be given an individual grade during the actual class reporting and of the written output submitted.

Practical exam 25% 25%

This includes test questions from the Related Learning Experience, Skills Laboratory and Clinical. It is a 50-item online exam in a laboratory setting. Students will be
provided a set-up (actual or pictures) wherein each has two questions to answer given 45 seconds. The student will move to the next question as time expires and should
