1. What relationship does nutrition have to one’s physical development and the ability to resists
disease?
Compounds called nutrients are present in food and are crucial for both health and survival.
Each vitamin serves a different purpose. Energy, building blocks for growth and repair, and chemical
process regulation are their primary functions. Since the human body is unable to produce nutrients
on its own, we must get our nutrients from food. As a result, a balanced diet that provides each
vitamin in the right amount is necessary. Malnutrition can be avoided by following healthy eating
habits and getting enough nutrition. People with malnutrition may be less motivated and interested
in what they are studying, which has a detrimental impact on their cognitive growth and academic
achievement. It has an impact on body size, weight, and physical development as well.

cholesterol can greatly increase a person's risk. By avoiding meals high in cholesterol and saturated
or trans fats and instead opting for foods high in polyunsaturated fats, such as those containing
omega-3 fatty acids, people can prevent cardiac issues.
