Dear All,
For the selection of the Each term ( Term IV , V, VI) Electives, students should take part in the bidding process
thourgh which they can Select their Preferred Electives acroding to their choices.
To help you in the bidding process, the Bidding team we have come up with the Bidding manual.
It is mandatory for all the MBA, MBA HR & MBA BA 2022-24 batch students to go through the Bidding Manual
attached with this mail diligently to learn the fundamental concepts and prepare yourself for the Course bidding
Process.

Note :-
Students should submit their choices for individual electives and mention the number of electives they are
opting for in the form floated by the PGP Office
The minimum bid point for this round is 150 for 3 credit courses and 75 for 1.5 credit courses.

The minimum bid for oversubscribed courses shall be raised by 10% for this round (i.e., 165 (full
credit)/ 83 (half credit)).
At the end of this round ½ of the remaining seats (That is 70 out of 140 seats remaining in a 210-seat
course) are allotted to top bidders and bid points bid are deducted from the available points of students.
It is compulsory for all students who had selected the oversubscribed courses in Round 1 and have
not been allotted yet, have to bid for those courses (subject to meeting the minimum bidding points
criteria).

In this round, students with open slots have the option to shift to any undersubscribed or ideal course.
Bidding for ideal and undersubscribed courses will be open for all.
The minimum bid points for this round are 150 (full credit course) and 75 (half-credit course).
The allotment will be done on the basis of bid points.
No movement from oversubscribed courses is allowed in this round.
If any oversubscribed course becomes ideal after Round 3, then students can also move to that subject in this
round.
In this round, a person can choose any of the available subjects, irrespective of the choice given in Round
1.
However, students are not allowed to drop or add course in this round.
(For E.g., If a student opted for 7 courses in Round 1, then he/she is not allowed to drop the additional
elective. Similarly, one who chose 6 courses in Round 1, then he/she is not allowed to add an additional
elective.)
It is mandatory for all the MBA, MBA HR & MBA BA 2022-24 batch students yet to be attoted electives to
Participate in the bidding Process.

drop elective(s) of term V.
This is to provide flexibility to the students who want to change their electives based on their changing preferences.
Swapping for each subject will be allowed as long as there is no change in the number of sections as decided during

List all the foreseeable problems/conflicts that might arise throughout the entire Bidding
process and how will you resolve each one of them.
We in collebration with Bidding team And the Academic Programme Office the is orientation Session Before the
Bidding process Starts, This orientation is to be done classwise batch so that all the Quaries of the students are
answered. Before this orientation Session starts the students will be floated a Google form to ask their question
before the session so that few quries will also be Answer in this way also.
Bidding Points :
The Students may like to know on what is the procedure to cancel the bid for a particular Elective in Round 1as they
may have exasted their Bidding points Even before they have met the criteria of Fullfuling the Required Term
credits. This Problem is can be addressed in the Orientation section and Setting a minimum limit for the Cousres
opted. That they have to bid atlest minimum of 1 Bidding point to courses that after meeting the Cretrie of the
Credits only they will be able to proceduee Further in their Bidding of the electives.
Server Problem :
1. The students may find that they are unable to take part in the bidding Process, In this Case a excel sheets will
be made for the students to entre their Problem, With the Help of the Techinologic Committiee, Bidding
team and Academic Programme Office. This issue will be resolved for the indudivals who face the problem.
2. If the Entire Student Community face such issues, the techichionus will try to resolve the problem with Few
minustes or hours of the Start of the bidding process, if the problem is unsolvable in the near future the
server will be shutdown and the process will begin after the issue is sorted and the process will resume on a
later date. The Problem Has to be taken to the Bidding team and Academic Programme Office By the CRs.
Allotted Course :
The students may like to know about the Winning bids, this resolved by when the Allottemnet list at the end of each
round is released. The students Detail along win their winning bids are also circulated, this method has two uses.
This can also help the Students how are not allotted with electives are given an oppurtinuty to strategies their plan
goining into the next rounds.
