GUIDELINES FOR SEMINAR REPORT

1. The Seminar Report must be in Spiral Bound with Transparent Cover in

White Background.

2. The Top of the report must have the Colored Title Page. (Format attached

with these guidelines).

3. The Title Page (Front cover) and the first page within the report should be

absolutely similar and same.

4. The second page is Acknowledgment page.

5. The third page is Candidate’s Declaration.

6. The fourth page is Abstract.

7. The next page is the Contents page which must cover the numbering of List

of Tables, List of Figures, Conclusion and Appendix (if any).

8. All the above mentioned pages must be colored and numbered in Roman

numbering, viz. (i), (ii), etc. from page first to contents page.

9. All other report pages must be numbered from the introduction page

onwards in numbers, viz. 1, 2, 3, etc.

Layout & Paper

The margins at the binding (left hand) edge should be not less than 1.25 inches and other

margins like right hand, top and bottom should not be less than 1 inch.

Type should be double line spacing, except for indented quotations or footnotes, where

single line spacing should be used. Typing should be one side of the paper only.

Paper used must be A4 size, Bond Paper 75/80 gsm.

The Seminar Report Chapters should be organized as under:

i. Introduction (Chapter - 1, Basic introduction, historical development, etc)


ii. Basic Principle / Mechanism / Concept (Chapter – 2 explain principle/
mechanism/ concept of seminar topic)
iii. Woking / Methodology (Chapter – 3 explain in detail)
iv. Applications and Advantages (Chapter – 4 explain in detail)
v. Conclusions (Chapter – 5)
vi. References and Appendix (If Any)

(Tables should be given the number based on their chapters; for example; for chapter 2
they should be Table 2.1, 2.2 and so on.

They should be written as per Syntax as under:

Table 1.1: Number of lines, relays, variables and constraints for some power systems

Like Tables, Figures should be numbered, and should be titled as under
