LEEA TRAINING SPECIALIST

THE ROLE
Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Specialist delivers LEEA’s high quality, highly valued and
globally recognised Certificate and Advanced Programme training courses in the UK and abroad. Our
courses focus on the inspection and thorough examination of lifting equipment.

Duties include:
• Delivery of LEEA training courses in the UK & overseas
• Monitoring of course material and content, providing feedback to our design and development
team
• Coaching and mentoring course delegates in preparation for LEEA assessments
• Organising and planning of training course preparation, set up and delivery
• Assisting with the development of new courses

The role will be based at LEEA head office in Huntingdon, with travel as required.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have:
• A good depth of knowledge of lifting equipment
• A teaching and/or recognised training delivery qualification or be able to demonstrate experience
in training and instructing.

We are looking for someone with practical and theoretical experience of lifting equipment and a
background working in the lifting operations environment. A thorough knowledge of health and safety
legislation, specifically LOLER and PUWER, is advantageous.

Since this is a training role, you should be able to


• Motivate, inspire and encourage training delegates
• Transfer knowledge and skills to delegates
• Be confident in the delivery of training presentations

• Strong organisational skills
• Good time management
• Good communication skills both verbally and written
• Capable of working under pressure whilst forming good relationships with members, students and
colleagues
• Able to work independently in the UK and Overseas
• Prepared to travel and work away from home
• Willing to work variable hours as required regionally
• Full UK Driving Licence and passport holder
