Make-Up Tutorial for a Natural Look

Chapter 1.
Introduction

In this video, we will learn how to use make-up to get a natural look that can
still be worn for work, weddings, or other semi-formal events. This video was
uploaded by Mustika Riana on her Youtube channel on 27 may 2021.

This video is very useful for people who don't want to do complicated make-up
but still want to look beautiful and look natural at work, at weddings, or at
other semi-formal events.
Chapter 2.
Finding & Discussion

2.1 Instruction
After observing a video from Mustika Riana entitled "— my everyday makeup
tutorial (bahasa indonesia) 💫✨", we will discuss step by step which we will
use to inform our report. In this section, the step by step will be divided into 2
sections, the Skin Care section, and the Makeup section.

2.1.1 Skincare
• First of all, we will use toner from I Trust Nature Licorice Toner. Because
the texture of this toner is thicker than a normal toner, so we don't need
to apply it to cotton.
• The next step, we will use a serum from Erha Truwhite Vit. C & Peptide
Brightening Serum, and immediately apply it all over the face.
• For the day cream we will use day cream from Erha Truwhite Arbutin &
Panthenol Brightening Day Cream. and immediately apply it all over the
face.
• The thing that you should not miss in using skincare is sunscreen, and
here we will use sunscreen from Nivea Sun Protect & White Instant Aura
Serum. and immediately apply it all over the face.

2.1.2 Make-Up
• First of all, we will use 2 concealers,
o Firstly, we will use a concealer from Madame Gie – Tan, and we
will apply it under the eyes and smooth it out using our fingers.
o Secondly, we're going to override it using Goban Cosmetics - 130
Medium Beige.
• Next, we will use powder from Emina Bright Stuff Loose Powder and
spread it all over the face.
• Next, we will use eyeshadow first, and here we will use eyeshadow from
Focallure Eyeshadow Palette 03. Here we will use a slightly golden
eyeshadow, and we will apply it all over the eyelid using our fingers.
• Next, we will curl our eyelashes.
 • After that, we will immediately apply mascara to our eyelashes using the
mascara from Mascara - QL Cosmetics Waterproof & Curling Mascara.
• Next, we will use the Highlighter from Madame Gie Catch the Gleam
Highlighter 02 on the corners of our eyes.
• For the eyebrows we will use Viva Eyebrow Pencil – Black.
• Now we will apply blush from Madame Gie Sweet Cheek Blushed 03 on
our cheeks.
• After that we will give the impression of a pink color on our cheeks so
that it is not too orange. here we will use powder from Focallure.
• Next, we will use lipstick from Forencos Korea Tatto Tint Velvet - 21
Breath on the whole lips.
• After that we will use Forencos Korea Tatto Tint Velvet - 37 Black Cherry.
we apply a little on the inner lips, and smooth it using fingers.
• Next, we're going to add a little liptint to our lips using Implora Cheek &
Liptint - 01 Vampire Blood. We apply a little on the middle to the outside
of the lips and smooth it out with our fingers.
• Now we add a little more Forencos Korea Tatto Tint Velvet - 37 Black
Cherry on our lips to make them look more red.
• Next, we will use the Highlighter from Madame Gie Catch the Gleam
Highlighter 02. We will apply it on the tip of the nose, on the bridge of the
nose, on the outer corners of the eyes to the cheeks, on the top and
bottom of the lips, and the chin.
• For the last one, we will use setting spray from Evian. we're going to use it
all over the face.

2.2 Tool/Material

2.3 Important Information

In addition, there is some important information that I found from this video.
• First, for those of you who don't really like blush that stands out too
much, you can reduce it.
• Next, for those of you who want their lips to look more juicy, you can use
lip gloss.

Conclusions and Recommendation

3.1 Conclusions
3.1.1 Expectation
1. Before Watching
Here I think that the results will be nothing special about it, because
from the title “— my everyday makeup tutorial (bahasa indonesia)
💫✨”, there is the word "everyday” in it, so I don't think there will be
anything special about this.
2. After Watching
After I watched the video carefully, my previous opinion was refuted,
even though it was only a simple makeup tutorial but the results were
very good.
3.1.2 Weakness & Strength
1. Weakness
• This make-up is not suitable for use in formal events such as news
interviews, hosting an event or even being a bride.
2. Strength
• Can still be worn for work, weddings, or other semi-formal events
• Still look beautiful and look natural
• The explanation of each step is simple, concise, and clear.
• Looks fresh and not heavy
• Suitable for people who don't want to be complicated

3.2 Recommendation
3.2.1 Suggestion
After observing the video, there are some suggestions I can give.
• First, in this video there are still many mispronunciations of words, so
hopefully it can be fixed again in the future.
• Second, there are several steps that use an unknown product, hopefully
in the future it can be more specific.
