EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Based on the research conducted, Edmodo has a problem with inadequate feature, most
especially with its personal messaging between instructor and students.
To improve this application so that it meets the audiences’ expectations, we added a web
widget allowing personal interaction between instructors and students through messaging.
The time duration of the changes made will approximately reach three to six months
depending on the sources available.
INTRODUCTION

Problems
Lacking feature such as private messaging is a serious concern. As a computer
engineering student, using this application, we have a responsibility to help improve Edmodo for
the sake of having a more efficient usage.

Solution
Problems with this feature can be solved by adding a web widget where in the instructor
can interact with the students privately. Using web site Builder Tool, Widgets enhance your
website and add useful information or fun interactivity for your visitors.

Objectives
The purpose of this proposal is to add a web widget where in the instructor can interact
with the students privately. Moreover, enhancing Edmodo will also improve its environment; it
will be more convenient for both the instructor and students to use.

Background
Edmodo is an educational technology company offering communication, collaboration,
and coaching tools to K-12 schools and teachers. The Edmodo network enables teachers to share
content, distribute quizzes, assignments, and manage communication with students, colleagues,
and parents.

Data Sources
The data used to create this proposal came from our own knowledge, and sources from
the internet.
Scope and Limitations
In seeking solutions, we wanted to increase the potential users of Edmodo without
damaging the original image of it. The solution must appeal to the old and new users. In addition,
any changes we make should be visually attractive and not unpleasant for Edmodo users.

CONCLUSION

If Edmodo will not be enhanced the inefficiency for the users in interacting to one
another will continue. The Edmodo might face a decrease in the number of audiences’. This
proposal is an enhancement to help the community of Edmodo to have an adequate usage.
We recommend that a personal message widget will help the users to interact more
personally and privately to their instructors. This add-on will further enhance the convenience
and efficiency of Edmodo.
