ANALYSIS
TASK 3
1. Where do you think gender stereotyping started?
ANSWER. Gender stereotyping started or began from the environment,
family, friends, social media, school, personal experiences with any groups
or individuals, television, and also through religion. To stop it, education is
the key. Education is where stereotypes are planted, and that is why it is
also where the solution lies.

2. In what way can you say that socialization affects the gender/identity of a
particular person especially during childhood? Elaborate your answer.
ANSWER. It can be affected by the influence of his/her peers. This can make
him/her identify his/her true gender identity in the matter of time.

3. How are you going to promote gender equality when others are performing
gender stereotyping?
ANSWER. I am going to promote gender equality by educating them through
giving awareness and encouraging others to remove gender stereotypes
and respect each difference. Every individual deserves to be treated well
and treated right.

4. Do you believe that the choices parents make about their children’s toys or
movies influence the child’s beliefs about the appropriate roles for male and
female? Why or why not?
ANSWER. Yes, I strongly agree that choices parents make about their
children’s toys or movies influence the child’s beliefs about the appropriate
roles for male and female. If parents make choices like this in parenting their
children, they convey stereotypes. When a girl chooses to play with toy
trucks rather than having other options, there is nothing wrong with it. You
never know what will be the impact on them if you will continue this kind of
stereotype. We should let toys be toys, both for boys and girls.

5. Do you think children who play with toys designed for the other sex are
treated differently from children who play with gender-typical toys? Why or
why not?
ANSWER. Yes, because nowadays people are stereotyping in this matter.
They think that when a boy playing girl toys he is already a gay. Same with
the girls if she is playing with boy toys she is already into a boyish girl. Toys
shouldn't be classified as being only for one gender; rather, they should be
viewed as a tool that gives all children an equal chance to grow in their
knowledge of the world and their talents while avoiding gender stereotypes.
