DECISION MAKING
It is the process of making choices by identifying a decision, gathering
Information and assessing alternative resolutions Using a step-by-step
Decision making process can help you make more deliberate, thoughtful
decisions by organizing relevant information and defining alternatives.

4. The Consequences of Each Option

The key Elements of decision making .

1.The decision body:


Decision making is the process of making choices by identifying a decision, gathering
information, and assessing alternative resolutions
Administration is the decision making body of an organization. Explanation: Administration is
vital for smooth running of organizations as they oversee and supervise business operations
while also coordinating with the staff.
Forms of decision making
1. Single decision maker
Decision is based on individual value system and interest individual carries the decision
making process through all the stage
2. Multiple decision makers
More than one decision maker the responsibility to make the decision
Scoring an “A” Grade is to score good marks in every course to maintain
a good CGPA in a semester. As I am studying the course it is my most
needed responsibility to decide a perfect way to score an “A” grade in the
course of Decision Making and every other course that I am studying.
The Decision Making Options
After recognition of the decision it is now required to determine all
possible courses of actions that will help me to make a better decision
through which I will be able to score an “A” grade in the course of
Decision Making.
Some of the possible course of action I determined are:
1. Attending all classes
2. Know the teacher
3. Stay organized
4. Use time wisely
5. Make notes for myself
6. Use the textbook
7. Follow good rules of writing
8. Study
9. Not losing sessional marks
10. Improving verbal skills
2.The decision options:
Decision options are the alternative courses of action between which the decision body
must choice .decision option are the heart of decision making.
In decision-making, the term options refer to the different alternatives or solutions under
consideration. Whether you are buying a computer, upgrading office space, or hiring an
accountant, for example, you must decide which alternative offers the best solution.

3.Uncontrollable Factors:
Uncontrollable factors are treated with corresponding state of nature which any
uncontrollable may take.
Uncontrollable inputs are the factors which the decision-‐maker has no control, such as
competitor's decision or reactions. The constraints of the problem are those things that cannot be
changed and they are mostly imposed to the decision-‐maker by his/her environment.
Three steps methods is helpful while considering uncontrollable factors
.identify the factors
.identify the state or levels which each uncontrollable factor could take
.attempt to predict the likelihood of these state or levels occurring for each of the uncontrollable
factors
Before making a final decision I have to consider all the factors that can
Influence my final decision and are uncontrollable for me.
Some of the uncontrollable factors that might influence my final decision
It includes factors such as:
 Temperature
 Light
 Sound inside/outside examination hall
 Suffocation
 Invigilation staff
 Lack of discipline
4. Consequence:
A consequence is something that happens. As the result of an action. Every action has
consequences, so considering the. Potential consequences of an action are an important part of
wise decision making.
