 How to pass in soccer

1.1 Definition
The pass is the technical action that creates a connection between two
or more players of a team, through the concession of the ball by means
of a touch. ... Passing adds speed to the game, decreases player
fatigue, prevents injury, and can clear up a confusing situation.
The best soccer players are often the best passers of the ball.
Players in all positions should improve this important skill.
Passing is simple but difficult to master. This article will teach you the
four types of soccer passes and tips that will make you an expert.
1.2 Objectives
To achieve that the player makes the correct shot when passing.
To values the importance of the player when making the passes
correctly.
To show confidence when participating in a soccer game.

2. Techniques for efficient soccer passes

When executing a good pass, it is essential to consider the contact surface, that is,
when hitting the ball, the contact surface to be used must be taken into
consideration, which can be:
2.1 Instep: it is used for short distance passes. To carry it out, the supporting foot
must be placed at the height of the ball and the hit must be accompanied, always
trying to avoid executing a dry hit. The ball continues its low trajectory.
2.2 Inner edge: used to pass medium and long distance. As the name implies, the
inside of the foot is used and the ball is hit at the level of the big toe, causing the
ball to rotate inward. It is ideal for more effective control of the area to which the
ball is directed.
2.3 Outer edge: it is used for both short, medium and long distance passes.
Carrying out this involves hitting the ball with the outside of the foot. If it is hit with
the right leg, the ball will go in the same direction (right), and if it is hit with the left
leg, it will go in the same direction (left). After executing the pass with the outer
edge, the ball may well go low to medium height or high. The higher we want the
ball to go, the further back we must place the supporting foot. The pass with the
outer edge is perfect when the player is running with the ball and wants to pass it
to a teammate and at the same time continue running.
3. Types of soccer passes:
There are mainly five types of soccer passes, and they are: short pass, mid-
distance pass, long pass, head pass and wall pass. Know what they are.
3.1 Short pass
Of the five football passes, this is one of the most frequently used.
It is known for being a pass executed with the inside of the foot. Thus, greater and
better precision is achieved, in addition to allowing the ball to make its way at
ground level, which allows the receiving player to receive it more easily.
However, when the player is under pressure, it is advisable to use the outside of
the foot, so the precision will be less. This should be done when there are nearby
players on the field, so it will be easy to do. However, everything will vary
according to the pressure that exists. In case of pressure, the short pass will
become a bit complicated.
Of the players who carried out this pass with excellence, the foreigner in the history
of Real Madrid, Michael Laudrup, stands out.
3.2 Mid-range pass
Like the short pass, the mid-distance pass is one of the football passes that players
use regularly. Its correct execution is with the inside instep of the foot. It is
characterized by being the most accurate of all passes.
3.3 Long pass:
Of the different football passes, it is known for being the one with the greatest
displacement of the ball, since it is more than 30 meters.
It is not the pass that is made with a lot of recurrence, although if it is done
correctly, the advantage that is achieved is great since it serves different beneficial
purposes, such as:
Make a counterattack after having stolen the ball in the center of the field,
Disorient the defense of the opposing team and beat them back,
Take advantage of an uncheck in the race by a partner.
Of the different contact surfaces, the ideal for the long pass is the instep.
3.4 Head pass
It consists of the action-technique carried out individually. Just as the ball travels
through the air, the player takes advantage and hits it with his head relatively hard.
The head pass can be defensive as well as offensive.
3.5 Wall pass
It is a very particular pass because its performance involves the combination of two
players, whose purpose is to get free space for the player who starts the wall.
In this sense, the receiver of the ball throws it with a touch into space in front of the
first attacker.
The wall pass serves as an effective solution for opening gaps when defenses are
very tight, that is, they are excellent at getting slow defenders off balance.
It should be noted that Andrés Iniesta, one of the many outstanding soccer players
in the history of Spain, is known for his impeccable execution of the wall pass.
