OVERVIEW
Building Construction qualification levels 1 and 2 consists of competencies that an
individual must achieve to work in a Building Construction firm or to practice on his/her
own and a construction person. It entails introduction to building industry, occupational
health, safety in building and construction environment, site preparation, basic hand tools
for block/brick laying, building construction materials. It also provides the skills for
undertaking basic measurements in building construction, ability to undertake basic
setting out, ability mould block manually. The learner will also be able to manual
preparation of mortar and construct simple wall
