MODELS AFFECTED: VGFt GSID/GLD Engines

The purpose of this service bulletin is to inform the field REMOVAL

that new air cleaner retention studs are available for
F18/H24 GSID/GLD engines and early model L36/P48 See F18/H24G/GSID/GL/GLD Repair and Overhaul
GSID/GLD engines. The new offset studs prevent the Manual Form 6243 Second Edition (or current edition)
air filter element from vibrating. The offset studs replace for complete instructions on disassembling the air

INSTALLATION 3. Install original upper offset studs and secure with

washer and nuts.
1. Install new offset studs in lower air duct hinges (see
Figure 2). Secure with fixing washers. 4. Install lower offset studs through rain shield hinges.
Secure lower offset studs with washers and nuts.
2. Install air filter, pre--cleaner and rain shield. Washers and nuts should clamp against hinges (see
Figure 2). -
