NOTE: TOTAL AMOUNT SPENT IS THE MONEY USED TO BUY THE GOODS. TOTAL ITEMS BOUGHT IS THE
QUANTITY OR NUMBER OF GOODS BOUGHT.
1. Out of the total amount of items bought in your purchase, what percentage was spent on imports? Compute
using the date in your table. Also show the percentage for the amount spent on other places like below.
National Capitol Region (NCR)

Nueva Ecija

Other Provinces

Outside the Country

2. Compare the percentage of the amount purchases for imports and locally-produced ones (combine the
percentage computed for NCR, Nueva Ecija and other provinces). Did you SPEND more on imported goods or on
local product? Can you think of reasons why the amount of your purchases is higher than the other?

-So the percentage of total purchases for imports is 52 percent, but the combined percentage for the NCR, Nueva
Ecija, and other provinces is 48 percent, implying that imported goods are more expensive than the local products I
buy. That day, I only bought goods that I didn't have in our house, so it was a small purchase; however, I decided to
buy chocolates to try the new Toblerone flavor and it cause higher. I know that there are many goods available in
our country that we can purchase and enjoy the taste of a local product that is similar to an imported one, but
there are times when we want to try imported goods to see what other countries can offer. I think it's a good idea
to buy imported goods now and then, because we're a developing country that needs to improve and learn from
others.

3. Out of the total no. of items bought in your purchase, Also show the percentage for the items bought on other
places like below.

National Capitol Region (NCR)

Nueva Ecija

Other Provinces

Outside the Country

6. Compare the percentage of the no. of item purchases for imports and locally-produced ones (combine the
percentage computed for NCR, Nueva Ecija and other provinces). Did you CONSUME more imported goods or
more local products? Can you think of reasons why the no. of items you consumed is higher than the other?

-Local goods account for 77.7% of the total goods I buy in the NCR, Nueva Ecija, and other provinces, while
imported goods account for 22.2 percent of the total goods I buy. Local products cost more than imported goods in
terms of total number of items purchased, but in terms of value or quantity of products purchased, imported
goods such as two chocolates have a high value, and in that price equivalent here in our country, we can buy more
local products for the price of two imported chocolates.

7. Through this activity, in what way do you think globalization affect our consumption
and production of goods and services?

The impact of globalization on our consumption of goods and services is significant. We now live in a developing
country that is willing to negotiate with other nations. The Philippines has a lot of international trade, which is why
they brought their products and services to us so that we could see what they have to offer, many of the country
do the same that's why our local product became available in global market and also foreign people experiences
our services, and now local businesses have branches in many countries. It's a good thing we share our knowledge
and skills with others because it leads to a variety of improvements and learning opportunities. Globalization has
aided the growth and development of many countries, not only in terms of product and service consumption and
production, but also in a variety of other ways.
