Abbreviations
Pattern is written using standard US crocheting terms:
mr = magic ring
st = stitch
sl st = slip stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec = decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)
hdc = half double crochet
DC = double crochet
dc2tog = 2 duble crochet closed together
FL(O) = back loop (only) = crochet through front loops only
Popcorn = 5dc in one stitch “roll up” together.
fasten off = cut the yarn, leaving about 10 cm (4 inch) tail, and pull this tail all the way through
the top of the last stitch made.
( )* 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated
[12] = number of stitches you should have at the end of the round/row

How to Crochet Popcorn Stitch

Work 5 double crochet (DC) stitches in the same stitch. Drop loop from hook and insert hook in the first
double crochet of the group. Place dropped loop on the hook and pull yarn through the first DC. Make 1ch to
close.

Eyes
The eyes will crochet in joined rounds with the hook 1.25 mm (US 8 steel) size.
We will to use a sl st to join the end of a round to the beginning (first sc) of the same round (do not consider this
sl st as stitch of the row). At the beginning of each row we will crochet Ch 1. We will always crochet the first sc of
the current round in the first sc of the previous one.

Begin crochet with thin black yarn.

Round 1: 6 sc in mr, join with sl st to the first sc [6]

Round 2: ch 1, inc* 6, join with sl st to the first sc [12]

Mouth
In skin color

We'll crochet the first 5 rows of the mouth on the Wrong side facing you.
After the 5th row, I recommend continuing to crochet the mouth already on the Right side facing you. Thus, it will
be easier for you to make decreases.

Round 1: Attach yarn into upper lip, with the wrong side facing you, in the 28th row and crochet: 6 sc (along back
loops remained unworked in the 28th round), 2 sc in the side, 6 sc along the lower lip, 2 sc in the side [16]

CrochetPatternWorld 13
Rounds 2-5: 16 sc (4 rounds)
Round 6: (2 sc, dec)* 4 [12]
Round 7: (sc, dec)* 4 [8]
Round 8: (dec)* 4 [4]
Cut the yarn. Weave the threaded needle through the front loops of all
remaining stitches and pull tightly to close.

Embroider the face

Step 1: MAKING FACE INDENTS
Marking the face points:
Mark the eyes whit 2 sewing pins, symmetrically in relation to the mouth, between rows 18 and 19 with 6 stitches
space between.
Making face indents:
Take a long needle with skin yarn. Insert the needle from the inside (through the neck hole) and draw it out the
Point #1. Step aside a little bit (to seize the 2 stitches) and insert the needle near the Point #1, then draw it out
the neck hole. Pull and tie the ends in a knot. Work the Point #2 same as Point #1. Use photos below as a guide
for needle movements.

CrochetPatternWorld 14
Step 2: EYES
Fasten the eyes with some sewing pins above cheeks, between rows 14 and 19 with 5-6 stitches space between.
Sew the eyes to the head, using regular sewing thread (for the upper edge - a black thread, for the lower - white).
Use sewing pins to mark the location of the eyelashes. Thread the embroidery floss to a needle and embroider
the eyelashes. I used a tapestry needle and black yarn thread.
Make the eyesbrows symmetrical.

Step 3: EARS
Count from the bottom edge of each eyes to the side 12 stitches. Mark this points whit sewing pins.
Take a long needle with skin yarn. Insert the needle from the 1st Point and draw it out the 2nd Point (opposite side
of the head).

CrochetPatternWorld 15
Step upper a little bit (to seize the 2 stitches) and insert the needle near the 2nd Point, then draw it out the two
steps up from 1st Point. Pull slightly. Repeat this movement 2 times.
Pull the ends through the neck hole and tie them in a knot.
Sew the ears onto the head, using a tapestry needle and the yarn tail. Use photos as a guide for needle
movements.

CrochetPatternWorld 16
Step 4: NOSE
Embroider the nose between rows 20 and 21 with 3 stitches space between, like it's shown in the photos.

Step 5: HAIRS (in any color)

Cut a few strands 10 cm (3.93") long and fold the strand in half. Pull the loop of the folded strands through the
stitch using the hook. Grab the strand ends and pull them through the loop and tighten (see photos below).

Using blush, lightly shade the cheeks and corners of the smile to your liking.
You are done with the head!

Next, crochet the arms in different ways!

Left arm
Round 30: 20 sc
Round 31: 4 sc
Cut yarn, do not leave a long tail.
Do not overstuff the top part of the arm otherwise the arms will not lay neatly flat but stick out too far from the
body.

Right arm
Round 30: 16 sc
Cut yarn, do not leave a long tail.
Do not overstuff the top part of the arm otherwise the arms will not lay neatly flat but stick out too far from the
body.

Legs
In skin color

Do not forget to follow the marker: it must pass strictly behind the center of the leg.
Work the leg in spiral rounds.
Make 9 Ch.
Round 1: Start from the 2nd Ch from the hook and crochet along the chain - 7 sc, 3 sc into the last Ch, continue in
the circle direction along the opposite side of the chain: 6 sc, 1 inc in last Ch [18]
Round 2: inc, 6 sc, (inc)* 3, 6 sc, inc 2 [24]

the leg.
Round 11: (8 sc, inc)* 2 [20]
Round 12: 20 sc
Round 13: (9 sc, inc)* 2 [22]

Round 20: 5 sc, inc, 10 sc, inc, 5 sc [24]
CrochetPatternWorld 19
Rounds 21-26: 24 sc (6 rounds)

Next, crochet the legs in different ways.

Left leg:
Round 27: 18 sc, 1 sl st, cut yarn fasten off (do not leave a long tail). Crochet should end on the inside of the leg in
the middle.

Right leg:
Now crochet the second leg in the same way Rounds 1-26.
Round 27: 7 sc, 1 sl st, crochet 3 ch. Do not cut the yarn and continue with body.
Stuff the legs and body as you go.

Body
Begin crocheting from the middle point of the inner side of the left leg. Start in the stitch next to the slip stitch.
This will be the new begin of the round. Do not forget to place the marker in this point (see photos).
Round 1: (7 sc, inc)* 3 around the left leg, 3 sc in the chains, (7 sc, inc)* 3 around the right leg, 3 sc in the
chains (the opposite side) [60]

CrochetPatternWorld 20
Make sure you will have 60 stitch total before moving on.
Round 2: (inc, 2 sc)* 4, 35 sc, (inc, 2 sc)* 4, 1 sc [68]
Round 3: (inc, 3 sc)* 4, 35 sc, (inc, 3 sc)* 4, 1 sc [76]

CrochetPatternWorld 21
Round 36: 7 sc into body, 10 sc into left arm, 14 sc into body, 10 sc into right arm, 7 sc into body [48]

CrochetPatternWorld 22
To make arms flexible, make a simple wire carcass. If the wire has no coating, it's better to wrap it with fabric
stitching tape.

Round 37-38: 48 sc (2 rounds)

Round 39: 9 sc, dec* 3, 18 sc, dec* 3, 9 sc [42]
Round 40: 8 sc, dec* 3, 14 sc, dec* 3, 8 sc [36]

Round 42: (3 sc, dec)* 6 [24]
Rounds 43-45: 24 sc (3 rounds)
Round 46: 7 sc
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Body Shaping
We make navel and the shape of the buttocks.
Take a long needle and insert it into the bottom of the body as show in the photo. Pull out the needle to the belly
button area.

CrochetPatternWorld 23
Reinsert the needle one stitch over and draw it out the opposite side.

Insert needle into original insertion point and pull needle out in same spot as in photo previous.

Firmly pull both pieces of yarn at the same time to tighten shape.
Reinsert needle to original insertion point and finally pull both pieces of yarn again to tighten. Tie the yarn in a
knot and weave into the body.

CrochetPatternWorld 24
Head Assembly
Make sure the body is stuffed firmly, especially the neck (it’s even better to overstuff the neck for extra strength)
and sew the head onto the body.
Use sewing pins to attach the head to the body before sewing to get a symmetrical result. Add a bit more stuffing
before closing the seam.

Pacifier
First detail
In pink yarn

Round 1: 6 sc in mr [6]
Round 2: inc* 6 [12]
Round 3: (1 sc, inc)* 6 [18]
Round 4: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc)* 5, 1 sc [24]
Cut the yarn, do not leave a long tail.
Now crochet the second detail in the same way. Repeat rounds 1-4, but do not cut the yarn.
Put the details together. Insert the hook through loops of both stitches and crochet next round:
Round 5: (3 sc, inc)* 6 [30]
Fasten off and hide the end.

Second detail
In skin yarn

Round 1: 8 sc in mr [8]
Rounds 2-7: 8 sc (6 rounds)
Cut and leave a tail for sewing.
Stuff firmly. To make the detail more stable and retain its shape, insert a simple wire carcass. If the wire has no
coating it's better to wrap it with fabric stitching tape.

Third detail (the middle part of the pacifier)

In white yarn

Round 1: 6 sc in mr [6]
Round 2: inc* 6 [12]

CrochetPatternWorld 26
Round 3: Ch13, starting from the 2nd Ch from the hook crochet along the chain 12 sl st, 6 sl st in the stitches of
Round 2, 1 sl st into the 13th chain done in beginning of current row. See photos below. Leave a tail for sewing.

Pacifier assembly
Fasten the details with some sewing pins first to find the right placement.
Using tapestry needle and a yarn tail, sew the parts together like it's shown in the photos.

Congratulations, your doll is now done!
