Team
Definition
While driving two drivers work together so one can take rest while another driver
driving trucks is called team or co-driver.

Example of Use
Team is generally used when they have to travel long distance to transfer goods from
one point to another.

In working hours or in the time of shift change the team can be used.

Hazmat
Definition
Hazardous materials are known as Hazmat. In this some toxic chemicals, nuclear
waste products, biological and radiological are included.

These types of materials are used in some cleaning purpose an also used as
lubricants and adhesive.

The appropriate use of the hazardous materials is when we know each an everything
about the materials and have safety precaution information.

E-LOG
Definition
E-LOG is an advanced technological application which us used to get easy access in
trucking and transportation company by drivers and other employees.

Example of Use
Use of E-LOG is to take record of truck as well as truck drivers.

Electrical logbook is particularly used to capture truck’s GPS location and have record
of driver’s working hours.

Cargo Weight
Definition
The real weight of all components including loads, gears and supplies is called cargo
weight.

Example of Use
Cargo weight is generally used to measure the weight of the cargo before transporting
cargo.

Before taking truck, weight of cargo is necessary to avoid any safety problems during
moving goods from one point to another.

Berth
Definition
Behind the cab one slipping compartments is called berth.

Example of Use
This slipping berth is used by drivers to take rest on their journey.

Main purpose of this berth is to take sleep and rest when drivers are on their route.

Driver
Definition

Goods is transferred from one place to another place by a person is called driver.

Example of Use
To move goods drivers are the key to transfer it by truck.

As per my perception, skilled drivers can make easy transfer goods from one location
to another location.

BILL OF LADING (BOL)


Definition
Bill of lading is a document in which all information related documents are provided to
check cargo.

Example of Use
A $199 bill of lading for the shipping of the cargo via Toronto to New York has just
been provided by that of the service UPS.

Whenever two or more parties, for example a shipping and a transport, transaction, it
is often commonly utilized.

BULK FREIGHT
Definition
Goods that are delivered simply it into vehicle in bulk rather than boxed. These goods
include wheat, petroleum-based goods, iron ore, and more. Cargo is the term that
refers to the type of cargo. Commonly named as bulk cargo.

Example of Use
Natural gas is transferred in terms of bulk fright in trucks.

Bulk fright is mostly used when the bunch of goods are being transferred from one
place to another place by trucks.

Axle load
Definition
Total load of vehicles applied at both end of the axle and equally separated to both
end is called axle load.

Example of Use
The 80,000 pound total vehicle weight limitation, 20,000 pound single axle limit, and
34,000 pound twin axle group limit are determined by the federal government.

While calculating the whole truck weight axle load is used to count total load of truck.

TRACTOR
Definition
Tractor is one type of truck is carried more weight compared to regular truck.

Example of Use
Tractor is commonly used to transfer freights.

Main purpose for the tractor is shipping goods by driver.

TRANSFER- COMPANY
Definition
A few individuals would join a legally group named a firm to do business and run an
enterprise in a commercial or an industrial capacity is called company.

Example of Use
This company can be used to transfer goods from the border.

In my opinion people who transfer goods on regular basis they use company from
Canada to USA.

OWNER
Definition
A small company or invoices owner who often handles as day operation of the
company is recognized as an owner-operator.

Example of Use
In a broad range of industries, include franchises, health, transport, repair,
maintenance, and management, owner-operators can also be found in several
organization formats and franchises organisations.

The truck and the rest of the equipment’s or other connected equipment are leased by
the owner-operator, who is not allowed to fund the truck and related ones using
financing.

Trailer Jackknife
Definition
Whenever the trailer in behind truck returns and virtually crashes with both the car
and truck, it conducts a jackknife.

Example of Use
An instance of a trucking accident is a jackknife incident, typically happened because
when truck skid, loses control, and indeed the trailer loses balance and spins in the
side of the cabin.

Flatbed
Definition
A vehicle intended to transport massive products that has flat back section without
such a cap or sides is called flatbed.

Example of Use
 A flatbed truck takes enormous and bulky equipment, like as backhoes, cranes,
bobcats, and so on, in addition to water proofing, I-beams, steel, concrete, and
numerous miscellaneous basic supplies.

Drivers use flatbed to justify the products' journey to the operator of the commodity
prices.

COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENCE


Definition
Drivers with license agreements are eligible to tow an automobile that weight no more
than 10,000 pounds behind the same commercial vehicle that pounds no upwards of
26,000 pounds.

Example of Use
To drive large, heavy, or placarded hazardous material vehicles in commerce, such
as trucks, buses, and trailers, you must have a commercial driver's licence (CDL).

BOBTAIL
Definition
Bobtail is driving a freight carrying truck without an attached trailer.

Example of Use
Distant objects around like an airport can be completed by a bobtail tractor operating
at 25 mph simultaneously transporting luggage and storage dump trucks.

While traveling to the starting point after delivering product, bobtail trailer is generally
utilized.

CONCEALED DAMAGE
Definition
Damage to a product inside that is not observable again until package is opened.

Definition

Cartage is used when the cargo is transfer from one place to another place in local area.

Definition
A truck is a form of motor vehicle entirely made for transportation or speciality
equipment.

A truck or lorry is a category of vehicles made to move stuff, users workloads, or
conduct out other practical activities.

Forklift
Definition
A vehicle that moves on its own that lifts and moves large objects by inserting steel
fingers under the weight.

Example of Use
A forklift is a powered truck used to carry, lift, stack, or tier materials.

Ensure both forks are as far under the load as possible before lifting. Drive with the
load as low as safely possible.
