Background :Fever is a state of body temperature above normal as a result of an increase. The temperature

control center in the hypothalamus. Most of the fever in children is the result of changes in heat

(thermogulated) in the hypothalamus, diseases characterized by the presence of fever can attack the body's

system.

Destination :This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the tepid sponge compress and warm water

compress on decreasing body temperature in children 3-6 years of age with hyperthermia.

Results :In 3 times of intervention, it can be seen that the tepid sponge compress method is more effective

than the warm water compress. This was obtained on day 3 of the second therapy.

Conclusion :The comparison shows that the tepid sponge compress is more effective than the warm water

compress after 3 days.
