Brief Profile of the Resource Person

Mr. Sohan Babu Khatri, is a management consultant with experience ranging across the cross-
section of industries and sectors in Nepal as a corporate business consultant and resource person
for corporate trainings and capacity development initiatives. He the founder and CEO of Three H
Management Pvt. Ltd. (estd 2010), a management consulting firm. In the recent past, he had
assumed the role of Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) in USAID Trade and Competitiveness
(USAID Udhyam Nepal) and was also leading the activity objective related to ‘Increasing assess
of SMEs to market based financial and non-financial services’

Having started his career as a Civil Engineer (graduated from IOE, Pulchowk Campus), he
widened his qualification to MBA in India (Bangalore), with dual specialization in Finance and
Marketing and took it further from there, to specialize in financial management and investment
analysis through professional certification courses namely Certified Financial Manager (India)
and Licensed International Financial Analyst, Charterholder (US). He has served as a BoD of a
commercial bank for about 7 plus years (2008-2016).

He has also been involved in academic endeavors and continues to play the role of an educator.
After some experience of teaching in Bachelors level of Engineering and Engineering Practice,
he got involved in academics as a lecturer of various subjects and field of study including MSc in
Engineering Management. He has been an adjunct and visiting faculty in various renowned
management colleges of Nepal (KUSOM, KCM to name few) and continues to be adjunct
faculty of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Strategic Management, Strategic Marketing,
Business Development and Planning and Business Impact and Practice at Ace Institute of
Management and Ace International Business School.

His experience, among others includes contribution to the development of understanding and
capacities related to entrepreneurship and startups among youths in roles of mentor, coach,
trainer, evaluator, and consultant through entrepreneurial boot camps, start-up accelerator
programs, and related projects of development/social organizations focused on development of
vocational skills, employment generation, micro-enterprise development and entrepreneurship
development. He has been instrumental in inception and growth of couple of startups (agro-farm,
ecommerce, IT/ Software development) as investor. He has rendered his consultancy service
across the sectors/industries which include agri-business, hydropower, tourism/hospitality, retail,
hospitals, humanitarian and development sector, banks and financial institutions, manufacturing,
information technology, FMCG to name a few. Majority of the consulting projects he led in the
corporate world involved the modules like strategic audit, strategic planning, business planning,
due diligence of organizational systems and processes, value/ activity chain analysis, baseline
study, impact study, market research, stakeholder analysis, opportunity analysis, feasibility
study, IT integration, business modeling to name a few.
He has been involved in research supervision, business planning and assessment team of various
organizations, including academic institutions. As a passionate hobbyist, he is also an artist and
has four painting exhibitions under sleeve executed for social cause to his credit. He has started a
campaign (soon to be registered as a company) namely ‘Artipreneurship’ which endeavours to
combine art as a form of expression - with social, cultural, life, human faculties and their
reflections in a unique and innovative way, to enhance responsible freedom of expression and
belief thereof, with an aim to create positive social, humane value and impact in societies and
communities around us. He has conducted four art-workshops among over 60 students of Ace
Institute of Management in order to enhance their capabilities on individual abstraction, critical
thinking, expressive storytelling, synthesizing and culminated into exhibition of painting works –
one of the first kind experiment in Nepal, whereby the individuals who never believed they could
create a saleable artwork created paintings and exhibited them.
