Good day,

I am a Sustainability Consultant operating in Malaysia since 2003. I am interested in interviewing for a full-time
role in leading Sustainability for your organization.

By leveraging on my expertise and experience of 17 years in Sustainability, Corporate Communication Learning

& Development and Content Development, Low Carbon Product & Services Communication Consultant for the
EU Switch Asia project team (for projects in Malaysia, Vietnam and Bhutan), I sincerely believe my expertise
in helping stakeholders (of the projects which I have been involved) will benefit your company to maintain
reputation as a responsible corporate.

The sum total of my experience in sustainability will help to GUIDE the company, its business to maintain its
profitability, through careful manoeuvring of investments to social responsibility and promote credibility in
caring for the environment.

You may have spent millions on marketing products however, long term value creation is what sustainability
impact is all about. High potential impact must also be measured for stakeholder engagements. If not measured
critical success factors of business will not reach the most significant stakeholder- Investors (ESG rating
benchmarking) to attract more investments. With my consultancy experience in Sustainability, the level of
understanding in the nature of your business helps to propel sustainable development for your company.

In Malaysia, my contributions to public listed companies via training and consulting services are in the same
manner. Objective is to ensure PLCs and SMEs do not just respond to Compliance requirements by the local
regulatory body Bursa Malaysia, more so to ensure Board of Directors, Business Owners, Senior Management
understand the strengths in their business to accelerate demand for products/ service/ supply chain and promote
benchmarking of sustainability against international standards to obtain investments. We need money to make
money and as a Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialist I understand how to do this best for your company.

I believe in establishing my network on the ground for knowledge on what works and what may not therefore
often receive feedback that my recommendations are spot on from my clients (Board of Directors & Senior
Management). I take keen interest in understanding the organization and the industry trends that’s shaping its
sustainability, before custom designing initiatives to complement and strengthen sustainable development of the
business. The outcomes of the intervention (training, regulatory report review, investors requirements’ gap
analysis, sustainability audit for identifying risk and opportunities in business), enables leaders to make informed
decisions in pushing strategic directions.

In pursuit of a full- time position, I wish to develop my skills and knowledge further as a strategic business
thinker working with this company.

My professional experience in sustainability matters spans from year 1996 as an employee with Citibank right
when I started developing my expertise in training and financial services.

Qualifications, which fits the requirements of this job is I have a degree in Knowledge Management from Asia e-
University and am currently concluding a doctoral thesis in Business Administration- the state of SDGs
Adoption in Public Listed Companies on Bursa Malaysia.

As continuous personal and professional development, I am constantly engaging as a Speaker/ Moderator in

forums for G2B, B2B and B2C events.

I realise all that I am doing here as an external consultant, feels more like I am only scrapping the tip of an
iceberg. My potential and knowledge can be put to more good use with internal implementation hence I seek this
opportunity to work with you. Being involved in high level business development, I need the support of a larger
company hence my application.

As a consultant having worked on scoped sustainability projects funded by the EU Switch Asia in least
developed and developing countries, had given me the necessary flexibility in both language and culture to
operate successfully in many different contexts, in view of pursuing scaled projects globally.

1
Finally, as an avid researcher in sustainability my capabilities include content development for analysing trends,
benchmarking against international standards and investor relations and dialogue, alongside, writing white
papers, conference papers with innovative solutions for attracting investors to finance sustainable development at
organization levels. I keep myself creatively active on content curation, design and delivery for various industry
players which keeps me up to date on latest industry trends.

I firmly believe that my ability to identify gaps in managing a business at industry level and complementing
those needs with trainings at an operation level has helped clients of mine at senior management convince their
Board of Directors in making sound decisions for the sustainable development of their business. Coupled with
my drive to continuously learn, collaborate and develop intellectually I am a good fit for your company.

I am looking forward to start this lifetime journey in your organization. herein my CV is enclosed for your
review.

Appreciate your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Sunita Devi
